I'm sure this kind of stuff has been going on since the dawn of consoles. The Metacritic thing is just a big deal because the site is supposed to be very reliable. No one pays attention to user reviews, though, so it really doesn't matter.
If it's such a huge deal, they should just get rid of user scores.
And if this new ranking system is implemented, then there will be a visible penalty for quitting, so it would probably happen less. It is really the only thing about Gears 2 multiplayer that is a problem for me now.
To all the people complaining about matchmaking time, when was the last time you played? It's gotten a lot better since the patch, and I never have much trouble finding a game.

Great demo, though short.
It's a lot of fun, which is definitely a first for console RTS's, but for the most part the game has been dumbed down to work for consoles. It takes far less strategy than the majority of PC RTS's.
I liked the demo alot, but honestly it is very simple due to the limitations of consoles.
Hopefully it'll it won't take too long.

Honestly, I don't care which game has better graphics, as I will be getting both.
And I could also care less about Gabe's feelings towards the PS3. I have both a PS3 and a 360, as well as a PC, so as long as he keeps putting out awesome games, I'm fine with whatever he has to say.

So you are comparing the control scheme in RE5 to terrible government misconceptions??? Why? The controls are fine. It fits the genre, adding to the tension. And of course the AI sucks. They are basically(not quite) zombies, so they don't really have brains.

For one, it's completely off topic. This is about RE5, not Killzone 2.
Also, it is not true that everyone will get the game, only PS3 gamers. Owners of both systems will get to play RE5, so I wouldn't be surprised if the total sales of RE5 were higher than those of Killzone 2, simply because it's a multiplatform game.

But I really hope Microsoft doesn't milk the franchise that Bungie created. That's the main reason that Bungie broke away from MS. They were tired of making Halo games. Halo without Bungie isn't the same to me.
I really doubted that Sony would do something like that. It isn't a good idea to spend that much money for one ad.
Whoever said that Killzone will own Street Fighter 4 has no idea what they are talking about. The two games are not even remotely similar, one being a fighting game and the other being a shooter. It is very ignorant to compare them in any way.
And as for Fear 2, I really liked the demo, and I'll probably rent the game over the summer. Killzone 2 and RE5 will take up most of my time until then.
But yeah, it's dumb when people rate games before they have played them. No matter how great a game looks or how good reviews are looking, you cannot know for sure how you will like a game until you play it.
