While I am very excited about the 3DS's 3D capabilities, the thing that sells it for me is the third party support. The number of awesome games already confirmed for the 3DS is already much higher than the number of PSP or PS3 games I was ever interested in.
While the 3DS may not have as good 3D as PS3 games that require glasses or expensive TV's, it does have an amazing lineup. The glasses-free 3D does help, though.
The chances of a PS3 remake of Snake Eater were pretty much 0 in the first place. Also, there is a good chance the 3DS will have 5.1 surround, and its built in 3D is much preferred to buying an expensive 3D television or expensive 3D glasses that are a pain to wear anyway.
Trophies/achievements really aren't a big deal at all, and as Killzone 2 proved, amazing graphics don't make an amazing game. Snake Eater should be awesome on the 3DS, much more so than a port t...

But Sony didn't really show off anything that would really convince me to pay the 140+ dollars to fix my broken PS3. The Gears and Halo footage shown were awesome, and I really can't wait for both games.
Microsoft didn't really show off anything new, though, so Sony beats MS in that respect. It was definitely good to see that PS3 owners are getting Portal 2, and the new Twisted Metal and LBP looked very fun.

but I really want Episode 3 more than anything. After the ending of Episode 2 I thought the next episode would be released in about a year, but instead Valve makes Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and now Portal 2. I've almost given up hope.
Hopefully at E3 they'll announce the Blue Box featuring Portal 2, Episode 3, and some multiplayer game. Day one purchase for me.
Yeah, I really don't understand what the big deal is. Jace has been around since before Gears 2, when the Gears comics were created. So what if he's voiced by a celebrity? Who cares? If that means that his voice acting will be above average, I'm all for it. People need to lighten up and just enjoy the game.

The line up is definitely impressive, but I don't know if it blows the competition out of the water. Killzone 2 looked great, but as far as shooters go it was pretty generic otherwise. I'm afraid to get my hopes up again for its successor.
Infamous and LBP were great, though, and I would definitely be buying the sequels if my PS3 didn't currently have the yellow light of death. ;_;

The only problem is that Sam dies long before the battle of Reach. If he's in the game, maybe they'll override the book a bit.
I hope they don't follow the books too closely in this game, because then I would know the story already and not be as interested.

I understand where they're coming from, but personally I wouldn't mind another Left 4 Dead this soon after the first. My only problem is that they should be focusing less on these games and more on HL2: Episode 3.

I'm just glad that it's not going to be a mandatory thing like the Wii motion controls. It will be a fun way to control the 360 menus(Minority Report ftw), and it has potential for some interesting games in the future.
