The only thing I would disagree with is the long term investment thing. They are making it sound like Kinect is a success already which is still yet to be seen. My friend told me to watch the trailer... and im like "OMG another bioshock how boring can they be... rapture a 3rd time round will be urrrrgh". When I saw it, I was like "wow didn't expect this!" and for some reason I never knew stuff in the sky could be portrayed quite so terrifying.

Guild Wars to me had a great soundtrack, but come to think of it, Morrowind and Oblivion soundtracks were great too since it was the same composer Jeremy Soule.

Things being overrated is in the eye of the beholder. But this article really tries very hard to hit some very famous AAA ps3 titles and the way the author does it makes it seem like you can attach the label "overrated" to anything!

I'm sorry you should know by now DTS and Digital probably won't matter underwater since the sound will be muffled anyway, you might be better off with just the tv speakers and set the system to prologic. Spend the money on air tanks for your guests, better to spend more money on air for maximum gaming time or maybe an air pump. Bolting down your speakers is just a waste of money. In the old days it wasn't wise to put a TV in the path of sunlight, because the light would reflect off the crt glass panel making you not be able to see a thing.
In this day and age it still isn't wise to put a tv in direct sunlight cos you will still be squinting and your eyes will be extremely uncomfortable. Whoever does that is just asking for trouble.
I'm sure any type of motion sensing application will be botched if exposed to the full spect...
I really enjoy my Halo games, the theme, the pacing and the art style. I am sure Reach will be AAA material.
But this article is flame bait, and is making decent people who enjoy Halo as much as other AAA games ashamed to admit Halo is a great franchise.
No wonder Halo is looked down upon by non-Halo players, because the halo fanboys can be pretty extreme making everyone who enjoys playing halo look bad.

Oh wow, you mentioned Roberta Williams. I'm ashamed I forgot all about her. Colonel's Bequest and the King's Quest series will always have a special place in my heart. If it weren't for those games I wouldn't be typing as fast as I do now. Come to think of it, Sierra had some remarkable women at the time computer games were not even well known to the public. Agreed... Mirror's Edge theme song is still hauntingly awesome. Matches the game beautifully too and is the main reason why I can't just let go of it.

The others are just hosts. In the work place how many people do you know that do their job for a living and actually love it as a hobby. I'm sure the other three go home and say "I don't want to see another video game until work tomorrow", they then meet up with their little social network of friends and discuss and make fun of people that game and get worked up over whether console a/game a is better than console b/game b.

I was trying to point out GT5 transcends gaming to the point where it is very much a simulator and not a game and yes i agree with you, it is pure art.

GT5 among gamers is essentially not really a big thing when compared to some other gaming titles like Halo, Gta, god of war.

Good move on Microsoft. Developers regardless of console alignment deserve their efforts to be rewarded. Most people that pirate do not appreciate what they have in their hands unlike the person who spent their hard earned money on "said" game.
