and from my experience, it's spectacular. Killzone 3 (even in it's current pre-Alpha stage) looked stunning. I can't wait to see how well it's refined by the time the game launches.
I sat and played Gran Turismo 5 and apart from a slight shimmer effect here and there on some of the textures that also looked great. It changed the game entirely with the ability to really 'see' the corners on the track and openings between cars.

With Avatar support coming to Indie Games in the latest SDK isn't it possible that this is just someone's first stab at incorporating Avatars into their game? Did everyone just overlook that?
it's what _used_ to be on TV. It's loaded with shows from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's and that's why it's worthwhile for people who only own a 360. I use my PS3 to watch stuff on Hulu and I'd definitely use the 360 for the same reason (with the two of them in different rooms).
It's a free service and they'll either add it right into the NXE for free or make it available to Gold subscribers only but they won't charge extra for it. Either way I'm covered.

PJ Monsters and PJ Eden were such great games, it made me go back and try the demo for PJ Racers again. I hated that game at first but like many others, I think I went into it with the wrong expectations. i don't like the movement of the characters and if it's indicative of the single player experience, i'll be avoiding this when it comes out. i've been excited by the direction they're taking and the previews and info i've seen but after playing this, i really don't care for the way the game handles.
at least not for a while. sony has already stated on several occasions that they don't want to make changes that would fragment the market.
adding a second analog stick would be great but would potentially leave millions of psp owners out in the cold as new games get released requiring the second stick.

what i did see was a bunch of avatars walking around together and that's everyone on your friends list. they said this was how you would interact with friends and do group chat and form parties to go into games, etc. Have they shown a way to do this without avatars? Or a way to do this where some people are using avatars and others are not?
