I'm not giving this site hits. Anyone want to post what the three ways are?

Cage is right. Besides, something can be enjoyable and not be "fun."

I might be alone in this camp, but honestly, I like Uncharted 3 more than UC2. UC2 still is a water-shed moment in the medium, but I have a favorite and Among Thieves is not it.

If Uncharted 4 can be like Uncharted 3 then I don't see why there should not be another. I liked UC3's ending well enough, it went full-circle and I for one would be fine if we never saw Drake again. If they do an UC4 I say wait a few years, give me a chance to really miss the characters.

"Linear" for some reason has become something of a negative label and I don't see why. Having something be linear is not a weakness. Not everything needs to/should be GTA.

Six bucks for shipping? Nope.

Personally I think the label "Game" is becoming somewhat inappropriate to use when describing all kinds of interactive experiences. It seems ND agrees.
.

"We're trying to move the medium of video games into an area elevated in the same manner of respect of film," Balestra says. "We want to redefine what our medium is even called. 'Video game' is not an accurate name anymore. It is not necessarily a game with rules and a winner ...

What square has lacked as a a developer this gen they have more than made up for it as a publisher.

I find that you seem to be over exaggerating these said "plot holes" and trying to reason for a sense of fault in the story where myself and others seem to see no issue whatsoever.

In regards to another point, yes, you need to take Talbot as the character he is presented as. I believed he upheld a certain sense of mysticism, I don't know why you can't see this. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck. Talbot had all the characterist...

"Totally disagree with his first sentence though that he's "not" comfortable with the direction Uncharted 3 has taken - which is being both cinematic and interactive at the same time."

Yeah, I don't really get what he means by that either. Cinematic=/=cutscenes in my opinion and it never really has. The only thing I consider cinematic are things that are "like film" yet still interactive(and not in a David Cage way). "Cinematic"...

I would disagree completely. Hell, Drake didn't even get a weapon until chapter 5. "Cinematic" as it seems is almost used to refer to something that is a different level in quality of work, even going to the point where it seems it is becoming a genre of sorts.

I would say it is a factor of presentation but it is alos getting to the point where it is a factor of immersion.

Chapter 18 "The Rub'al Khali" changed my life, that is for sure. I never thought anything like that possible. It was the best of both worlds and was able to do what neither can, create an intimate connection with a character and do it all with interactivity.

ND is the master of the interactive cinematic experience, so much more than a "game." Can't wait to see what is next.

Jim Sterling is one fat bastard. Well, if you're going to be a Troll at least he excels at it.

No,if you know anything about classical story structure than you should know that all characters have a part to play. Talbot is destined to be the individual who uses illusion. Taken straight from the wiki:

"He is nicknamed "The Magician" by Drake in his journal, as a reference to his use of Tarot cards. In mysticism, the Magician is said to be able to make anything he imagines real simply by saying it aloud, referencing Talbot's control of Cutter. The Taro...

First, Talbot is as much an archetype of a character as Drake. Both seem to play into a sense of type and role. Drake is the roguish hero and Talbot a somewhat mysterious villain who utilises mysticism and cunning in his own way. His weapon is that of illusion and he constantly uses it while at the same time still being flesh and blood. He can and does die. Cutter was drugged and his perception can not be trusted. Talbot is a "magic man" first and foremost, meant to deceive.

"I seem to always be the only one 'defending' Uncharted 3."

Excuse me? I fight tooth and nail when defending UC3 thank you very much. UC3 tried to be more of an interactive cinematic experience, something I think it excelled at. UC2 was more "game" like in deisgn and execution. I see UC2 as the better "game" where UC3 is the better experience.
