"Kratos skin isn't a console exclusive"
Man Sony went from rejecting crossplay to allowing one of their character to be used on rival systems, good on them for allowing it though.
Well said.
The article is talking about hardware innovations not software.
Microsoft: Come on Nintendo put Steve in.
Nintendo: No.
Microsoft: But we let you use Banjo.
Nintendo: *Sigh* Alright...
"Got no choice but to drop £70 for Demon's Souls"
Whos got the gun to you?
Also why are people in the UK getting screwed worse than us here in the US on next gen game prices? £70 is $90 in USD and were only being charged $70 for them. Prices between US and UK were relative similar last gen, I don't get it.
"Halo: Infinite is the only 1st party game listed"
There is Gears Tactics also $59.99.
"Microsoft isn't paying 2-3x the value of Bethesda to help Sony and Nintendo"
As if they aren't doing that already with Minecraft and various other games on the Switch?
Sure but the XSS... Not so much.
It isn't out yet, but pre-orders were. The thing is that most the people who pre-ordered the console were probably going to pre-order the console regardless if those games came to the PS4 or not. Sony didn't have to try and mislead people into committing to buy the console, but they did.
I don't think most people have a problem with the games coming to the PS4, the problem is Sony marketing these games as PS5 games. SpiderMan: MM and Sack and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are out in less than 2 months, you don't find it strange that they are just now letting people know that they will also be available for the PS4? They waited til the PS5 was available for pre-order and then told people through a blog post, they didn't even bother mentioning it in their showcase. Its o...
"there always was and always will be cross gen titles at the start of a new gen......this has been happening over a decade now."
Yes with 3rd party games, but with the 1st party games this is something that didn't happen with past Xbox and Playstation consoles.
@JustTheHypotheticals
Cool story, but it isn't happening.
"No one throws a hissy fit for days upon days about the mistakes Nintendo makes."
Sure people do, you're one of them.
All while defending Sony's mistakes in other articles over them deceiving people over pre-orders, PS5 exclusivity and charging $70 for some of their games.
@Dragon
Or the more likely scenario. Sony messed up by holding off until seeing Microsoft make a move and then rushing out a showcase just 9 days after Microsoft revealed their pricing and did a poor job communicating with retailers on the date.
Come on, surely no one is actually gullible enough to believe that all the retailer just spontaneously opened pre-orders earlier against Sony's wishes...
They are when docked.
"these are people that also have families that need to take care of you know and really you asking them to give it for free?"
What are you talking about? The developers get paid for their work regardless if Sony decides to allow a free upgrade or not. You do understand that the developers working on the game don't own the IP or receive sales profits right?
The only ones that lose out on money by allowing the free upgrade would be Sony. Oh th...
More than XBO maybe.
This is comparing the first 42 months into the PS4 life-cycle, not the current sales of the PS4.
Money, money is what they were thinking.
