And what did you just do? State your opinion as a fact. The sad thing is, most, if not all of the people posting and bashing HHG haven't even played the game. So they're not even arguing their opinion, they're just arguing against his. As it is, you cannot have any real opinion over which game has better gameplay if you haven't played both games, can you?

True for the most part. Only exception I can think of is Nina Williams in Tekken...she's generally considered easier to play on a controller than a joystick because of her 'twitching' (u1~b, u).
There are other characters in Tekken where it's irrelevant which you use. You really believe it matters with Eddy Gordo or Anna Williams? Joystick really picked up with Mishima's and wave/light dashing, EWGF, DEWGF, etc. Most use joystick as preference. It's not like it makes as b...

@ below: Read the edit, it was a joke. No, I don't think those games were even close to being a 10. Lair was clunky (at least with the motion controls) and the story failed to grab my interest. Haze might just have had the worst dialogue of any hyped game ever....

Sony really sucks at advertising. They probably miss out on about one million sales for each of their big games because of this. They lead marketer is no rocket surgeon, that's for sure.

So does that mean that Bungie could remake all of the Halos and put them on the PS3? I doubt that. Somehow I think there'd be a hefty lawsuit in that. I'm not positive, but I'm willing to bet the publisher has all rights to the name/remakes. I think it goes deeper than what you're saying.
With the simplicity you describe, Sony could make a game, Fario, staring a fat plumber and completly copy SMG, only 'remake' it with better graphics and there'd be no problem...
Considering the current economic status, I find those numbers to be really good across all platforms. As one of the worst holiday shopping seasons in recent history, it seems people still love their video games. This should help keep all platforms afloat and ensure competition stays around. Good news for gamers.

Ok, let's make movies and games more like real life. No more well choreographed gun or car chasing scenes. Urban combat has around a ridiculous 50% mortality rate, so nearly any game or movie where that exists, the lead actor/actress should die. Scenes where people get away from the cops are near impossible, regardless of the vehicle you're driving because they don't need speed, they beat you with numbers.

Most people don't look at the BACK of an anticipated game. They see the Activision and that's all they need to know. Not too mention all the parents buying the game for their kids. All they know is their kid likes CoD and assume it's the same. You are greatly exaggerating the dilligence of the average person.

Constantly having to mute people really breaks the flow, doesn't it? Besides, I can't mute them before I know they're going to say it. When it happened nearly every game I played, having to mute people like that is annoying.

I guess I can't speak for all of XBL or all of PSN, but at least with Halo games I remember hearing little kids shouting out racial slurs like they were getting paid for it. That's what killed XBL for me. To hear that many racial slurs being shouted was insane. I've played various games on PSN and never heard anything that came close to that. I'm not saying it's not out there, I just have yet to experience it.
