I agree with the first part, but the second half kind of doesn't make sense.

@ Cajun Chicken

Dude try taking off the Sony colored glasses, not every PS3 game or exclusive is great. Genji, Haze, Lair. All exclusive, all missed opportunities. Now there have been some great exclusives. Uncharted, MGS4, Resistance was pretty good. LBP (good critical scores though it doesn't really appeal to me) But like I said, not every PS3 game is;

I remember when I first heard that the PS3 was going to be $600, I was thinking; No way am I going to buy a console at that price. I'll just wait until Final Fantasy XIII comes out, and if it's any good hopefully the price will have dropped.

I didn't take into account the extra features the PS3 offered, as quite frankly they were of no benefit to me at the time. I didn't have an HDTV so what good was blu-ray to me? Absolutely none. I just wanted to play games, and the 360 scratc...

That is actually the score that I would give many of the Final Fantasies. Probably one of the most overrated franchises of all time.

I'll have to form my own opinion from playing this game, but the general feedback is positive, so it's probably pretty good.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it deep, but Infinite Undiscovery wasn't as bad as I thought it would be from reading the reviews. The first couple hours were awful, but once the game starts flowing, it's not that bad.

They jumped into the game at a time when Sony was completely dominant. Nintendo pretty much had no competition when it first released. Sony took advantage of Sega's financial weakness and Nintendo's stubborn reliance on the cartridge when it released the playstation. Microsoft has done pretty well given the competition I'd say.

Actually the 360 is ahead of the PS3 in the other regions. That is to say all of the other regions combined. It's pretty tight though.

The 360 isn't dead any more than the PS3 is in Japan. Sure PS3 has a couple million more sales there, but the 360 continues to sell in small increments. I think microsoft already realizes they're not going to win Japan, but until that console starts selling less than a thousand a week, I wouldn't say it's dead.

edit: @above

Actually what's really amazing is that the PS3 is only two million ahead.

I think it's pretty lame that the PS3 isn't getting the dlc, but this game is incredible. I liked the first fallout, but I can honestly say I prefer Bethesda's gameplay style more. The hardcore PC gamers are upset because they feel that Bethesda dumbed down the game, (which they did in a way) but that doesn't make it any less fun in my opinion. It has simply evolved beyond a niche title into something that average gamers can enjoy. There are still plenty of hardcore PC rpgs out there for the ...

I can see how home appeals to some people, and it's obviously not a failure, but it just doesn't grab me. A 3-D chatroom is a complete waste of time for me. Sure there are little games you can play, but having to wait for them really diminishes their appeal. When I play multiplayer games I usually play with people I know, or just jump into a game and play with whoever. Home was interesting for a day, but the lack of features ultimately turned me away from it.

That's funny I never thought about that while playing. The only thing that stood out to me though was seeing the veins sticking out on the corpse's legs. Gross.

I played Infinite Undiscovery, and I experienced no technical issues with it.

@Zeus Lee

They're not necessarily bad games, just not as good as we would expect.

@ceedubya9

The megaten games were made by Atlus, not Square. But you're right about the overall quality of most of Square Enix's games, with FF generally scoring high and the rest a mixed bag.

I'll probably be getting this once I've finished the games I'm playing now.

What do you mean exactly?

5559d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I have yet to play Lost Odyssey, but I did play Blue Dragon, and quite frankly that game didn't appeal to me. I couldn't grow attached to the characters and the story was just a little too serious for how cartoony everything looked. The battle system was dull, to be blunt, and the enemies weren't very interesting. Lost Odyssey is probably a better game, but there are many other games that have kept me putting that one off.

I think dominance is really too strong a word at this point, but sales of the PS3 should increase dramatically if there is a price cut. I think the days of sony controlling 70% market share are over.

It's in my queue though I still haven't gotten it sadly. Don't get me wrong, I would buy this game but I'm woefully short on funds at the moment.

I'm not quite sure of that myself, though I don't think SO4 will remain exclusive.
