Total simulation geeks will totally eat it up, while those that care more for collecting and aesthetics will probably pass it up. I'm one of the latter camp.
Yakuza is one of the best videogame series out there right now. It plays sort of like an rpg but with a kicka**, brutal, combat system. The stories are pretty good as well.
Cool. The review was very descriptive of how the game plays and thats the most important part. I've enjoyed most of Level 5s games so far and this one looks like it'll be pretty fun.
There are still a lot of rpgs releasing on sony platforms, just not the PS3. I'm starting to get a feeling that we're seeing the death of next-gen jrpgs.
The cast looks on a whole about as good as FFVIII, and that's not really saying much.
Despite the awkward design of the DC controller it really was quite comfortable. As for now I find the 360 pad a bit better than the PS3 one, but mostly because of the stick arrangement.
Don't forget about Dragon Quest 8. Though developed by level 5 it is still a Square-Enix game, and one of the best PS2 games imo.
Whether PS3 wins against 360 or not, I don't believe we're going to see the same situation as the PS2 against the Xbox and Gamecube. The Xbox had far inferior software for the most part against the PS2 and this generation so far that isn't the case. I see this generation ending like the split between SNES and the Genesis, with the PS3 slightly more than 360.
I have nothing against the Wii, but part of what made Bioshock such a great game was the excellent graphical setting. It would be a disservice to the game if it was ported to the underpowered Wii.
Is that even possible?
I don't really see why this article is so hot. It's the same thing we've been hearing for the last few months, so it's nothing new. So Greenberg stuttered a bit; big woop. Whether MS delivers with the first party studios or not, there is no lack of games for microsoft's system this year. Sony's lineup looks definitely stronger, but saying there are no games for the 360 is absolutely obtuse.

I don't believe anybody actually expected the 360 to crush PS3. I as well as many others probably, expected Sony to be much stronger against the 360. This article is pure flamebait and I agree with some of the other users on this site; don't feed this guys influence by giving his site hits. I understand this is probably in response to the "Sony is doomed" articles, but two wrongs don't make a right.
The character models are jaw-droppingly good. The environment shown in the screens look great as well. Awesome modeling and texture work.
I'm a huge SF fan, so I'm definitely getting this. My fav characters are Ryu, Sagat, and Bison.
I largely missed out on the earlier DQ games because I was too young at the time, and being able to play them in updated fashion is great.
As long as the combined product is not $10 more than the standard edition of a game, I think it's a great idea. Even better would be if the movie came at no extra cost, but I don't see that happening.
Stupid move to only let you play the demo with a pre-order imo. I want to check this game out but I don't want to buy it without trying it first if I have the chance. Oh well, I'll just have to wait till after the game releases.
If I were thinking about buying Killzone 2 and saw this review I'd still buy it. I don't need to see 10 out of 10 to justify buying something. It's absolutely ridiculous to call someone biased, just because they don't score a game as high as you'd like them to.
30 hours is a bit longer than Yakuza 2 took me to finish, and I was satisfied with its length. It kills me inside knowing that there are people playing this game and I can't because I don't understand Japanese.
