I mean the PS5 is backwards compatible and undoubtedly Sony will give priority to its PS4 exclusives working day 1 on PS5 so these games really don’t need to be ported. I would much prefer visual and performance updates that make the games look and run better on the new hardware than having to buy the game all over again.
Odd choice to release two FPS multiplayer games in the same month. They should have spaced them out for more variety.
If the DS5 is as ergonomic as the DS4 but has better battery life and analog stick pads that don’t deteriorate I’ll be happy.

Yes it was
I’ve seen a lot of misinformation about PS5 only being able to play 100 PS4 games at launch but that’s not what Cerny said. He said that they tested the top 100 games and that many of them worked and almost all have them will work at launch.
What does this mean for the other 1000s of games on PS4? We don’t know for sure but it seems likely that if the majority of games (hypothetically 60%) they tested worked on PS5 without any tweaks required we can extrapolate that a simil...
I love Mario 64 but Mario Odyssey does everything Mario 64 does and more so I don't know how Mario Odyssey isn't on the list.
@neonridr
Last of Us PS4 was a remaster of a 1 year old game and included all DLC released up until that. Including the Left behind DLC which was like $10-$15.
Shadow of the colossus was also a remake for $40.
It’s clear way more work has been put into the FF7 remake than was put into Link’s Awakening. And FF7 remake is going to be a much bigger and longer game.
The only reason Link’s Awakening is $60 is because it’s Nintendo and Nintendo knows they can get away with price gouging because their fans will pay. It’s the same reason the lackluster remaster of Tropical Freeze (a 4 year old game) cost $10 more on the...
Pokémon company should give gamefreak a rest and hire someone else to make the next Pokémon RPG, maybe Monolith Soft or Platinum.
Speaking of, whatever happened to Jet Moto?
I wouldn’t. The game is fine but very mediocre. It’s clear not much extra effort was put in to make the game special.
I’m not sure Ultimate Alliance 3 is worth $60 let alone $300+.
Daredevil would be one of the few games where Batman/Witcher vision actually makes sense.
@King_Noctis
The core of Pokémon is exploring, finding/catching/training/batt ling new Pokémon and leveling up to some demonstration of Pokémon mastery.
You can still stick to those core elements and have a lot of room for iteration.
Monster Hunter World is in many ways a demonstration of what Pokémon could be in terms of tracking Pokémon and building a living world with its own animal ecosystem. You could chang...
You could do a hybrid where all pokemon are random encounters until you face them for the first time and then for the rest of the game that pokmeon type appears in the overworld (when in appropriate areas for that type). Thematic explanation, now that you've seen a (say) growlithe up close you can identify them at a distance when you see them in the wild.
To be fair, the team at Retro today is vastly different than the one that was working there 12 years ago when Metroid Prime 3 was released or 17 years ago when the original Metroid Prime was released. That said the DKR games are some of the best in their genre so I'm curious to see what they can do with a modern day FPS.
I don't know. Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis and Mario Party all felt like rushed/incomplete games at release.
I'm hoping pokemon 2019 keeps the Let's Go concept of pokemon on the overworld map but takes it further. Pokemon living and interacting in the overworld sort of like Monster Hunter World.
Also it would be great if Pokemon 2019 aesthetically looks more like Game Freak's "Town" because that game looks gorgeous.
Yeah long term it will probably outsell every Nintendo switch game except Mario Kart.
That's not surprising. Nintendo's first party releases have been extremely weak this year, especially compared to last year. I think Pokemon Let's Go is going to drastically underperform Nintendo's expectations and way underperform compared to other pokemon releases and it won't shift that many consoles. It'll still sell a few million games but for pokemon that's not very good.
Smash Ultimate will definitely move the needle though and 2019 is lo...
I’d love to see them tackle a new genre. Maybe an RPG or something.
