Still trying to stay low key in the wake of the MS + ABK acquisition. I mean, it’s been a year and a half since their last major showcase, and yet they’re bizarrely getting excused because, well, they’re Sony.

Right, but they’re still plastered all over social media in an effort to generate interest, inevitably leading to hype.

I get it, the gaming community almost prides itself on unrealistic expectations, but these ‘showcases’ are only adding fuel to the fire. They’re better off ditching or rebranding the format.

But when small studios develop exclusively for Xbox, they ‘paid them off’ right? Honestly, there’s a predictably ready made answer for any anti-Xbox narrative on this site.

I have the Series X version - it plays great and haven’t noticed any performance issues. I guess if I had my magnifying glass out though…

The bigger news is that the PS Plus Collection is going away, but that’s conveniently hidden away in the subheading. Surely this should be front and centre for people contemplating buying a PS5 in the next few months.

It’s not 2013, 99.9% of people on here likely have access to a persistent online connection, and yet feel the need to be outraged. It truly sucks for the 0.1% who don’t, but the reality is these consoles are built for always online gaming.

Great that they’re continuing to release updates in spite their nation’s plight. Fingers crossed for a 2023 release.

Infesting that the minute there’s some good PlayStation news, your focus immediately turns to Xbox. But as you’ve brought them up, how many of their recent acquisitions have released an exclusive game? You have to applaud how successful PS5 has been, but those MS investments will start to pay off starting this year. The fact they’re retained competitive with a relatively limited output is an achievement in itself,

Same, looks absolutely stunning but glad they’re just the old school inventory. Great to see they’re in track for a 2023 release date - hats off to GSC keeping development going through the war.

Example no. 585487435 of Sony ripping their customers off this gen. Surely a premium battery life is a bare necessity for a premium controller. What a shame.

@lightning well done for totally contradicting yourself.

With new information we reassess.

Remind me when Sony had a showcase this year?

Maybe you should read his comment again - literally said it ‘sucks’, and it does. The fact is that this has no impact on anyone subscribed to gamepass (unless you are compelled to buy physical copies).

Maybe you should stop trying to cause fake outrage when MS literally earned a couple of months ago they’d have to raise the price on ‘certain things’. Xbox owners have been braced for this - at least they’ve managed to hold off for 2 years.

Agreed that Forza Horizon is probably comes closest in modern gaming.

Don’t worry mate, I don’t have a PS5. Nice to see that showing objective appreciation for a game still get criticised.

Way to generalise an entire population of gamers - how incredibly ignorant.

Can’t read a God of War comments page without Xbox being brought up. It’s obviously going to be an amazing game regardless of an single persons opinion from a well known site which, let’s face it, goes completely against the grain of the overwhelming majority.

Exactly, it’s called business. You can moan and play the whole school playground analogy as much as you like, but ultimately it’s standard practice across the industry. Sully on N4G though thinks cries when MS do it and blindly ignores Sony doing it… cute.

Just like what they did to Sega? Funny how things come around like that.
