We don’t know what’s going to be available on game pass come launch yet. Plus you can get nearly half a year of game pass for the price of sackboys adventure, so I wouldn’t say it’s as clear cut a decision as you’re making out.
They've seen what Microsoft have done and decided to copy them last minute. No shame in that at all, but I like the vastly different strategies both have adopted this time round so kind of wish they stuck to their guns.
Looks like a mix of Fable and Skyrim - all over this.
The price of Spider-Man suggests it’s more of an expansion after all.
Wow so not going next gen exclusive after all. Both new consoles have more in common than we thought...
If you're looking at the casual market then yes it does. Has virtually no impact on the hardcore market though.
How does that make any sense?
Rome wasn't built in a day, most of their new studios have stuff early in production. We'll have to wait but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
The target audience for the Series S probably don’t know what HDMI 2.1 is. Why can’t people understand this??
Can’t wait for this - hope they manage to sort an iOS version soon.
Isn’t game pass about games??
Yeah this sounds like what people on n4g would say
Well they are atticus, unless you have evidence to say otherwise?
If you look outside your hardcore gaming community bubble for a minute, you’ll find loads of people.
At this point, there’s no point in thinking any third party game will remain exclusive forever on either side. So difficult to subsidise lost sales for exclusivity.
Feel like the vertical designs of both next gen consoles will prompt an evolution in TV units.
As it stands, it would have to go behind my TV.
Wow, never seen so much saltiness.
As has been mentioned before, we (people on this website) are not the target demographic for the Series S. It's really there for mass market appeal and to say you can get a brand new Xbox "from £249". It's smart business whether you like it or not.
I actually think it looks big in the promotional photos but actually seems smaller than I thought based on the media units doing the rounds.
As people have already pointed out, the PS5 is taller and wider, but that’s the cost of having a powerful console.
I kinda of got the whole console name confusion argument to an extent, but All Access? Really??
I guess it's a relatively new concept for purchasing consoles, but Microsoft couldn't have done a better job breaking it down for the average consumer.
Fair enough, but unfortunately that's bad news for the consumer. I guess they want to position their games as premium experiences. You just can't argue with the value of game pass though, a good mix of AAA and indie games on there.
