I would never guess that a person with the name "PS3 Owns All" would bet that the PS3 will win the console war. :)

I can't argue with you there, Blu-ray has a definate advantage in the new release category right now. I also won't argue that Blu-ray is winning, or that HD DVD seems to be in deep trouble. It doesn't look good for my beloved format. However, I'm just really tired of the "dead" comments. Clearly it has at least some studio support, and anything can happen in the future. All it would take is Disney to jump ship and a $200 player from Toshiba (which they claim they will have by x...

Over 200 HD DVD titles are being released this year along with several new players from several companies. It is NOT over. Get over it.

Could you calmly (read: in lower case letters) explain how the death of HD DVD would be the end of the 360? I think your blind hatred of the 360 might be clouding your judgement.

So the display output port on the 360 will only do analog? That's the problem?

P.S. Thanks for your polite, informative response...that's rare 'round these parts.

The reason I feel screwed is because my 360 with HD DVD drive is my primary DVD player. The only way it upscales my DVD's is through the VGA connection...unfortunately that makes all the colors badly washed out. I want the HDMI version to get the nice crisp colors that I get through component cables.

The "HD DVD is dead" comments are getting real old. Why can't we all accept that it's going to be a long drawn out war? I personally think the competition is good, if Blu-ray were the only option, I doubt Sony would be releasing their new drive for $600...competition drives innovation and that equals lower prices for us all.

On a side note, did anyone notice that WB is releasing the Matrix trilogy on HD DVD in May? Sure it will come out on Blu-ray eventually, but i...

Can someone explain to me why the current 360 can't have an HDMI cable? Is it just that it can't output a digital signal instead of analog? As a current 360 owner (does that make me part of the "Xbox defense force" Green?), this kinda annoys me. I guess I always just assumed that they would be releasing an HDMI cable for us early adopters. I'm fine with the upgraded hard drive, but a new system having functionality that mine doesn't really ticks me off. It seems clear to me tha...

What about Zelda on the NES? Wansn't that the first game with the battery backup to save your game? Not to mention the gameplay, which was years beyond anything else out at the time.

I thought that the interesting part of the article was the average sales price. Who would have thought that 5 months after launch the PS3 would be selling for retail price, while the Wii is still fetching a $100 premium? I certainly thought it would be the other way around.

Clearly people want to read it...mission accomplished! :)

I think they left out a couple that are worse than the ones listed. Isn't there one in Madden '06 for clicking a thumbstick on a menu? That's pretty weak. Plus, the ones for DOAX2 are completely and totally impossible...

Ironically, it's already up to 330 degrees and will probably end up at the top of the N4G homepage. :)

I would guess that the demand for the PS3 in Europe is still high, but they won't have the people trying to immediately sell them on Ebay like you saw in the U.S. That's probably why the preorders don't seem to be going as fast as the other launches. Not sure that I agree with the "Europe is Sony land. Everyone knows it." comment, but no doubt it will sell very well.

It has always seemed to work that way in the past, but for some reason I think this generation could be different. I can't see either the PS3 or 360 fading away, and the Wii is probably different enough to keep it around...even if it's just a second system for people who own one of the others.

Excuse me? What did I do? I didn't write the damn thing...I just thought people would like to read it. I never said that I agreed with it. As a matter of fact, look at my comments in the past...I challenge you to find one fanboy comment in my list.

Get off your high horse you jackass...what? No response? Oh that's right, you can't comment any more because your fanboy and rude comments dropped you down to one bubble.

Easy man, can't you voice your opinion without the name calling?

While the 2/3 number is still impressive, I'm guessing that it's not as great as Sony would have hoped.

Sounds like your connection...I've never had problems like that with Xbox Live. I don't have a PS3, but I've heard that the RFOM online runs quite smoothly.

I agree with you 100%, but I think the 360 has several quality exclusives as well.

6292d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I completely agree with you as far as the quality of the online services...which is why I have no problem forking over the $5 / month for Live. It's well worth the price, and Microsoft has done a fantasic job so far...and they seem to be adding a lot of new and exciting things to Live.

My worry is that your average gamer (who are really the ones that made the PS2 the dominant force that it is) will just see FREE!! and ignore anything else. I think only hardcore gamers look th...
