This update doesn't even work for our US systmes. And It's funny that you mention Live when the 360 is about to undergo a complete menu system redesign. Catch up to whom? BTW, I own and love both systems.
Like for many of the reasons mentioned here already, I had to pick up a PS3 that was backwards compatible. I bought the 80 gig model at $500. An investment of that size meant that I didn't have a lot of cash to pick up new games for a while, so guess what? I bought one game right away, Uncharted I think, and then went through my back catalog of PS1 and PS2 games that I hadn't beaten yet. This helped me until I could afford to get new PS3 games. Also, there are still good PS2 games being ...
OK, I'm convinced. No more Gamestop for me. Ever. Now I have to go back and watch the other 8 videos in the series.
then I can live without installing the game. Space is not a concern (I have an Elite) I just don't think it's that necessary. The dashboard update does look pretty cool and clean, though. That is something I can get behind. Others will disagree, but that's OK, too.

tried to find a couple of these games a while back. I did find one of them, but at a price I didn't want to play. This will give me the chance to play what I've missed.

I am aware enough of how the industry works to realize that those numbers could be feasible, what I'm saying is that there is no way to confirm any of them. The developers and publishers aren't talking. Again, grain of salt.

would have been sarcasm. Some people, like Voiceofreason, just can't seem to see it when it's there. Of course the Wii outselling the 360 in Japan isn't being reported. In fact, EVERY other console is outselling the 360 in Japan. Lighten up.
I agree, I don't really care for the way the blades look on the 360. I think the marketplace really needs the most work. I really prefer how PSN does the info pages for games. It pulls up a full page with a detailed description of the product. I have one other problem with the blades. If there is advertising on the blades why is Live $50?
have the fanboy take on them. And I hate to tell you, it's not just the PS3 crowd. The only group that doesn't seem to get into little hissy fits of rage are the Wii people. I really don't hear much out of them. Personally, I like games, not the console I play them on.
