Marona, I agree PS2 could still be the biggest console ever without GTA, but it is a fact that GTA is the best selling franchise in recent history (Mario actually is best ever).
I think GTA4 was important to 360 and PS3 this christmas, and I hardly think the PS3 is now doomed because it has no GTA4 till next year.
The writers comments in relation to M$ not having the same commitment to updates as Sony is uninformed in my view.
M$ had a much better online service to begin with, whereas PSN is very much still a work in progress, it would have been good for the writer to make readers aware of the current large differences between the online services offered, since LIve is far ahead of both what the Wii and PSN currently offer.
I agree M$ will need to provide updates to stay competi...

It was a pretty tedious read tbh, and nothing new is mentioned, also the editing of the article didn't help - it was atrocious, not easy to read at all.

If you buy a 360 now, you'll most likely get one which won't be faulty, but I agree the proce drop is pretty poor really, and Europe doesn't get it either which sucks considering the US price is already massively cheaper.
I doubt there will be any noticeable difference.
Of course it will come out on the PS3, it certainly isn't a paid for exclusive on the 360 and the relatively small cost to port this to the PS3 would make it a good business decision....perhaps in 6 months.
SuperSaiyan4 I would hardly call it "luck" that Midway own the rights to publish UT3...that is called good business acumen.
They haven't got the best game portfolio, but they certainly have a few good 'uns, however publishers like EA have been saying the same thing.
Both the 360 and the PS3 need to get their prices down asap, if they are to compete with the Wii.
I think I'd rather just play the game, than have these get dusty on a shelf somewhere, but for those who like this kind of thing I'm sure NECA will do a cracking job.
I dont mind in game ads if they done in keeping with the game (e.g. BF2142 did a good job), but I would like to see an actual benefit to the consumer e.g. if a game has ads, it should be cheaper to buy, and you should have the option to pay for an ad free version.

Dedicated servers is definately they way to go, I hope M$ start doing this in the future, because peer-peer is crap for shooters, the average upload speed can only support 4-6 players without lagging.
