I for one can't believe somebody could write a report like this with a straight face. "Killing simulators"!? It's actually worrying to think that supposedly intelligent people have such conservative and completely ignorant views about an entire entertainment medium.
Considering Germany's recent ban on Paint balling I hope that these extreme views about gaming do not spread to other EU countries.
Yes I am aware the first Resident Evil came out prior to SS2, but I think they've both had influence over each other when it comes to narrative, and item management in particular.
I agree with you about Bioshock, it's one of my favorite games this gen...I'm not quite as excited about it's sequel though.
Indeed Deus Ex was my favorite game for a long time and SS2 was a big influence on it, particularly the RPG system.

Yes indeed on line still does work I believe, though I haven't tested it myself, I have friends who've enjoyed it immensely. This game was way ahead of it's time.
Onlive have certainly got a lot to prove, but I'm trying to stay optimistic about this, it could possibly be the best gaming platform invention for a long time.
The Call of Duty franchise has been using the same engine since CoD1. It's based on the old Quake 3 engine, but IW have obviously since overhauled the graphic renderers.
I doubt MW2 will look much different to CoD4, I expect to see more optimisation though
My 360 has red lighted twice, and i agree it has flawed hardware.
However if were to choose which console to get rid of out of my Wii, PS3 and 360, it would be my PS3 to go. I prefer my gaming on the other platforms, and I would particularly miss my 360. Despite its flaws the 360 is a great console, and it's also very cheap now to replace a unit if the 3 year warranty doesn't cover you.
Yeh do them all Szarky it really adds to the atmosphere of the game if you know a bit about the backstory.

Good story, it's true that the 360 isn't reliable mine has died twice, but it offers the best gaming experiences, particularly online compared with my PS3.

This rumour should have been quickly killed considering M$ is publishing it, its not going to PS3, simple as that.
10 years on it's still just as playable, and I actually prefer SS2s story to Bioshock. I think Bioshock is a more stream lined experience overall, but it should be considering it came almost a decade later...
