I am hoping they actually explain their vision better. By this I mean confirm which devices will be supported going forward. Will the X be supported as expected? Or will old devices just work with X cloud ( standard Xbox etc)
I agree. The ability to choose is a great thing.
I still think a new studio purchase, I did think do not nod but they have just signed a new deal with Focus home interactive. But i expect a new studio to be added. Maybe they will purchase moon studios.
Hopefully gamepass is a universal subscription. If so I can hop onto my pc and play gears tactics for no extra cost.

What is your definition of nowhere near, three of those games scored 92/93/94. Thats pretty close to 97 in my view. I have played all of the released games on the list, breath of the wild was great, but my favourite 2 are HZD and God of war. All are worthy GOTY contenders/ winners.

You have been around long enough to know disagrees are common when you mention a different platform. Its the mentality here, you can only like and support one thing at a time (try being an xbox fan on here).
Not played either of these yet so I will get them on my ps4. Hopefully as darth says sonic will also come to GWG so my kids can play it on their console. Its a good month yet again.
But with the xbox I think they are planning something different. Stream any new games to your current console ( so no need to upgrade consoles) or buy a new xbox 2 and play them as intended for the best experience. Having said that the only decent exclusive being released is gears of war. So it is somewhat slim picking at the moment until they announce more.
But the PS5 will be quite a bit more expensive than a ps4, at least I assume it will based on the tech inside. So the console itself will cost a lot less. Personally I would wait, but this is something that will be taken into account by potential buyers.
I feel sorry for all the parents who have no idea about games. Imagine the disappointment on their kids face when they get the original as a Christmas or birthday present. The only thing they really craved and they get the wrong one. Could be worse though, they could have just added a U at the end of the title.
I think the TLOU2 will be a cross generation launch on PS4 and PS5. So GOTY on two platforms. I must admit this trailer got my attention, until now I have been unsure of this game, but it looks very good.
They have no choice if they want to legally operate in Australia. It is the law and they are not above it. As for taking advantage, people in Australia generally don't. Maybe when you can do it easily it is less likely to be abused. You can also return games without reason at ebgames and get a full refund. That is not abused here either.
I dont think we will be subject to Trumps tax on the PS5 in Australia, but it might alter the cost of the Xbox Two, not sure. Ironically if it does it will price xbox out of overseas markets.
As an adult buying a new console is the only time i get that "Christmas excitement" feeling. I will certainly buy the ps5 day one. I have also purchased every xbox day one, but not sure about the next one. i have an X and if it is still supported there is possibly no reason to. But the PS5 is a certainty, I will also hold off buying TLOU2 until the PS5 is released.

I think this is looking back with rose tinted graphics. You should go back and play uncharted 3 and then jump into uncharted 4. The difference is huge. Uncharted 3 still looks good, but the advancements are easily noticeable. Check the video below out and skip to 1:18 and watch the market scene.

I agree. My concern is also that they will fall into the trap of showing games that are years away. We don't want sea of thieves, crackdown or state of decay reveals and the release date promises / delays that followed.
I forgot about the Hitman rumours, that's a strong possibility. I have heard that do not nod are always struggling to fund their next project, they are successful but short on cash reserves. Plus if MS purchased a few tell tale assets they could continue telltale Minecraft and other stories through developers like do not nod.
Could be announced for early 2020. Plus they could state that the Xbox X will still work but will become their entry level budget console. They don't have to drop support for it.

Thats a bit of a stretch. Pretty sure Sony stated ps5 would support 8k. As in output 8k resolution for movies, possibly even 8k upscaling. But I doobt it will support 8k gaming, unless they make games Tetris or puzzle bobble 8k.
Plus does anyone want it? I would rather 4k/60 and improved graphics.
High quality single player games get people on board. This is why people love Sony so much.
