Ryse was a good game, just short. So 7 hours is perfectly fine with me for this game.

I really don't see the issue with the game only being 7-8 hours long. I completed resident evil revelations in 6 hours and I don't remember people saying how short that was. In addition I thought ryse was a great game, despite only taking me 5 hours to complete. For me this game looks great and I can't wait to play it. It is much better to experience it in person, rather just be confronted by speculative hate by people who have no intention of buying or playing the game.

The irony of this comment is that the xbox one was criticised for not having many pure exclusives, compared to the ps4. Games like titanfall were released on the 360 and this was criticised, sony on the other hand didnt do this and released pure exclusives like infamous. So just curious which company really continued to support their older condos consoles.

I suddenly found myself being put from the end of campaign 3 in halo 2 to the start of campaign 2 after the update. Another weird thing now is that if I save and quit my mission before completing the level I am put back to the start of that level. But I am not that annoyed, still a great deal and great games.

Although often it's the journalists, rather than the gaming community that are moaning in order to get "clicks". Personally I havn't seen a gamer moan about suddenly being given Limbo for free. It wasn't expected so I was happy with that. Kudos to MS, in the last 12 months they have really turned things around. This is why we need competition and why we need both companies to succeed.

The problem you have is that many people have become obsessed with 900p vs 1080p when the difference is actually quite small in terms of what we see. This for me is a shame as the extra 30-40% of gpu power is going to be used for this instead of pushing textures or other assets. I for one hope we stop focussing on resolution and let the game designers choose how to push the boundaries on their games.

For me the Xbox one is my preferred console ( I own them all). But come on this comment is ridiculous. If you want the better all around console you get an Xbox one. If you want the more powerful gaming cinsole you get a ps4. Likewise with games it is halo or uncharted, God of war or gears. Pretty simple. Plus your comment about retiring the PS3 and needing media features is ridiculous. Use the Xbox one for media. Unless you have them in different rooms, if so upgrade the damn tv to one with ...

Owning both consoles I have to disagree. There are so many things that I can do on the X-1 that I simply can not on the PS4. Of course, most of these things have nothing to do with gaming. For example I live in a country without access to netflix. The X-1 is completely region free, so I simply change my country of origin to the US or UK and I can access all of the apps in that region. This lets me use Hulu and Netflix ( and any other apps I do not have access to ), which I can't do on the...

It has constantly been pointed out that the difference in power between the 2 consoles is 40-50% in the PS4's favour. Furthermore it is constantly mentioned that the power difference needed between 900p and 1080p is 44%.
So if this is true then it is pure laziness from the developers. For me resolution from 900p-1080p doesnt matter. But 720p to 1080p does matter as its is visible on 40"+ TV's (certainly on my 55" anyway). I would like to know the truth as I mostly b...

I bet you will be first in line to buy Titanfall 2 when it comes out on PS4. Oh and it would be a line worth joining as titanfall is a great game, with a few minor flaws.

Or in the case of destiny, play the free beta. If you liked the beta buy the game, if not then don't. Its pretty simple really, personally I do not understand why so many people who played the Beta, went on to buy the game, and complain about it. Its exactly like the beta.

I had one, it was great and then it died on me after 20 months. The first console I have ever owned (owned almost all of them) that has died on me and it was a Nintendo console ( they never die).

I do agree mostly with what you said. With regards to graphics however, if people just wanted great games regardless of graphics they wouldn't have upgraded to a PS4 or Xbox one. It is an easy way for people to see what they are getting. The issue with this is that some new games push more assets on screen and people overlook this and simply focus on the graphics, rather than the fact that you can now have X number more people/objects or whatever on the screen. But yes the No 1 thing is ...

I loved Tomb raider when it was released, yet it only took 15 hours to complete. I also loved Resident evil revelations, which I completed in 6 hours. I always find it amusing when people claim some games are short, compared to others. Destiny will last longer than either of these games, not sure if it is short. Have you played the strike missions, they take quite a while on their own.

Ignore the reviews. If you want a fast paced shooter that gives you the option of completing side missions, whenever you want, whilst having good fast paced story missions then it is a good game. The co-op multiplayer is great, but optional. Each planet has a strike mission, which is multiplayer only, but you get automatically matched with other players. I love this game. For me the only thing I dislike is the PvP, it has poor balancing. When I last tried I was level 12 and found myself again...

When I played the beta I thought the game might come out at a 7-8 score. But having played the game for the past week I am really enjoying it and have no qualms giving it a 9. The low scores are strange to me as there are not many better games on either the PS4 or X-1. Also scores of 6 would actually put this game in a lower category than games like sniper elite 3. Not too sure about that.

They could have bought destiny 5 times.

Well the Wii U was mostly selling 25k per week, worldwide from Jan- September 2013, yet that is now starting to sell okay. Now putting it in perspective the xbox has been selling at least 50-60,000 per week worldwide. So do you really think it will be dead in 2 years?
In addition to this the Xbox One has just taken the lead in console sales in the US.

Lets hope that it succeeds, because Sony need the competition to keep them strong. The competition is great for gamer...

I agree, metacritic just needs to be avoided. I remember looking at reviews for Titanfall and many people gave it 0. Some of these reviewers had never played the game (jumping on the hate wagon), others just gave ludicrous reasons for giving the game 0. Some of the best were along the lines of "limited game modes mean that I doubt I will play this game for much more than 20 hours, thats a joke so I give it 0" . Anyone playing a game that they score a 0 on, for more than an hour or t...

When did people buy a console for LBP? I think 2015 will be the bigger year for the PS4. My personal feelings are that the rest of 2014 is pretty meh regarding exclusives, but it isnt a problem as September-October is already amazing with 3rd party games. Having said that I dislike driving games so Driveclub will be good for all those starved of a decent racing game. I am very much looking forward to The Order, and Bloodborne in 2015 though.
