I would trust someone that has been in the videogame console market for 12 years(having the 2 most successful consoles ever) than someone that has been in it for what 5 years(dropped support on their first one to rush out the next and give us reliability issues on top) that doesn't hardly know from lick to spit in this specific industry.

I strongly agree with you, Sony has definately learned over the past 12 years that you can't just have specific genres on the consoles, you have to have an outstandingly diverse selection of great games.
Personally Sony has them and I have yet to see Microsoft get there because while they DO know PC Games they have yet to learn what makes a videogame console really tick.

I strongly agree with you, the Xbox 360 is a good example of how the PC was labeled few years back when nothing but 1st and/or 3rd person shooters reigned supreme.
Yes, their are a few games that make it diverse but there are not enough to justify stating that they don't have the majority of their games built around 1st and 3rd person shooters.

I believe this guy has a point, however he is very much insinuating that Wii will dominate this holiday season like the X360 did last season.

While I had someone attack my N4G account during the beta and my Playstation Forums account because of me being a doofus by leaving them auto logged in.
Someone decided to be a jerk and post leaked info about the message that Dylan left on the Beta Forums which in turn got me banned from the forums permanently and possibly never able to beta test anything ever again from Sony.
Still this game was awesome and I will definitely be picking it up amongst the countles...

Um...Sony proved that wrong 7 years ago with a little system called the Playstation 2...I am sure you have heard about it.
I sure hope that it doesn't come down to this multiple SKUs because it would just flood the retail space and confuse consumers more...I do hope that Sony has bigger plans for the holidays just not this option.

They aren't there because this pre pre-alpha footage, folks, they MORE than likely used what they had and put this level together for E3.
Textures look fine for something that isn't coming out for at least another 6 months, I mean look at Halo 3 Single-Player vs Halo 3 Beta, VASTLY different.

I would love for this to become true but this guy's track record for "predications" is terribly bad.
God only knows Sony needs to keep their public image in better shape then it has been.

The more popular HD TVs become, then Blu-Ray, then PS3...it is called consumer experiences
The more and more the PS3 garners in just a "few" consumers and they pass on to others about what it has to offer the more it will sell.
Playstation brand is and always will be synonymous with PSone and PS2, they know that PSone and PS2 were good so when the time comes PS3 will be also.

This is what happened when PS2 came out, "Argh! PS2 is so hard to make games on, but yet it is so powerful!"
Yes it will take sometime to get the reigns held on to but it will be well worth it based on just some of the outlook going forward.
