369 is a new console. Just released last week. Only game was Assassins Creed. Includes HD-DVD and BR drives. lol.
Are these numbers correct? Wii had a 65% drop?
GET OFF THE BLACK/WHITE ISSUE. I'm trully sorry for your drinking problem, but this is not the place for this. This is not what the article is about or this site is about. Most people on this site argue, but it's over gaming. And most do it without insulting a group, race, gender, ethnicity, etc. You on the other hand have drastically crossed the line. Just get off the issue. Don't you understand plain english?
Yo! Buddy! Drop the issue. It has nothing to do with gaming. If you noticed, most people are siding with Clinton on this one. Nobody is making this a race or gender thing, so get get back on topic.
Kick back there tigers. I don't think N4G is the forum to discuss American politics. Keep that stuff out of here.
I have to agree. The potential for a libel lawsuit would be huge given this game's exposure. Albeit, the characters must look like someone, H. Clinton is too public a figure to be mistaken for anyone else. This would lead to a huge defamation lawsuit on Clinton's behalf. Rockstar, considering the financial problems they have been experiencing, would easily steer clear of making a mistake this big. Good luck Rockstar - If this is even true. I would take it more as viral marketing given the cur...
Also, not all retails sell at the prices Amazon do. If Sony is universally reducing the price to the level of Amazon's pricing, I'd be inclined to say it's a deal.
I thought you guys might like this video. Although not really "news", it's pretty funny. I can't believe they actually were nuts enough to pull this off.
From all Americans --> You're welcome for WWII. No tax needed. Thanks.
How does: Porn company switching to BR = PS3 owners DEMAND porn?
Not really. If Blu-Ray is exclusively the only HD media platform for a few years, then it will be very difficult to introduce a new format to trump BR. Imagine after DVD gained steam, and three years later a company released a disk with more storage space? It simply wouldn't fly. Simply adding more storage space is not the key. More storage doesn't necessarily bring anything to the table. The difference between DVD and HD-DVD/BR was significant to allow for HD content. But when HD content is ...
I'm confused. In order for them to release a BR/HD-DVD combo drive, they have to get approval from the BR disc association, for certification. Why would BDA ever allow for this? Even though other companies make dual players, Toshiba owns the HD-DVD format. Wouldn't they just want to suffocate the format by suffocating the company that made the format? What Toshiba is saying is a bit unreal.
The intro was funny.
There is no 'ctrl' button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control. - Go Chuck!
This isn't Sony's only CES showing (Tuesday - PS3). They have much more lined up. Also, the Mylo is looking much better.
Also, what size room does someone have to have to watch this thing without getting dizzy?
Honest questions: I understand that taking sides in the console war is fun (and the bickering is also fun, hence N4G), buy why does MS posting 77% earnings make you feel so good?
Are they sharing this good fortune with you?
@ Bladestar
Fair enough. That's an amicable answer.
Exactly.
Although that would be a crazy introduction, I just can't see MS pulling the plug on HD-DVD (a technology they have spent hundreds of millions on). Let's not forget that MS had a hand in the Paramount exclusivity payoff. I can't imagine MS just bowing to Sony.
@ vega75 -
I never said MS paid off Paramount. I simply mentioned they had a hand in it, as mentioned by most industry players. Second, MS has invested tons of money in this format, primarily the HD-DVD add-on. It...
Agree. Also, Sony, from the conception of the PS3, aimed at the HD disc market. The PS3 has been their trojan horse. Accordingly, even if Sony was to lose some money on the PS3, the amount gained from Blu-Ray will yield a net gain in the billions. From a strategic standpoint, the more PS3's Sony sells, the faster they will likely saturate the BR market. Sony banked on a vicious chain of events, and the pay off seems right around the corner. Therefore, cutting the PS3's price to heavily compet...
