Great point. The PSOne's lifespan/cycle is still the standard everyone is following.

Your point is noted, but your logic proves what a lot of Sony fans have been saying for quite some time, which is that the PS3 is fully loaded to begin with. Thus, no revision was truly needed. The 360 is playing catch-up from a technology standpoint. The PS3 is still the most techologically advanced console on the market. You're asking how the best can get better? I'd say, we'll plrobably have to wait for the PS4 for major revisions.

A more logical comparison b...

There are major differences between modders/hackers and glitch users. The difference is that a modder/hacker is actively taking steps to side-step the system and the way it functions normally. A glitch is an error in programming. Glitch users, although horribly annoying, are just using what is given to them in terms of the game. It's flaws in the game that allows this, not some active step taken by the gamer.

Banning hackers/pirates/modders - I'm all for it.

This is the first time, I believe, that a console manufacturer is taking responsibility for the errors in 3rd party development/programming. Although I believe the glitch substantially decrease the gaming experience, wouldn't it just be easier for IW to create a patch for it and be done?

Why should the console manufacturers apply such harsh measures to the gamers using the game "the way it was designed". If it's designed with flaws, that is not the gamers' problem, it...

But doesn't Samsung manufacture, or have a hand in manufacturing, Sony's LCDs? Either way, these two companies consistantly bring quality to the market.

I agree in part. However the true problem I see is that although the new generation of tech savvy individuals understand the concept of downloading music/films/games, the masses of older people (the ones with the money) are technologically inept. I personally think that downloadable content is the wave of the future, but it's the distant future, since most people do not trust or understand the technology yet. By having a physical version of the property you purchase, people do not hesitate to...

This is an interesting concept, to say the least. Isn't it interesting that all consumer electronics are eventually going to get integrated into each other. This reminds me of a computer model, which has many components manufactured by muliple manufacturers. I.E. Intel processor, Asus motherboard, maxtor hd, NVidia graphics card, etc. This is an interesting step in integrative electonics. But who's going to run the warranty? Is Samsung buying the X360, like a computer part, and selling a comp...

Are you actually getting giving this guy your attention?

I don't think Van Wilder is in the game. Then again, I have been wrong before.

I would love to see who would be willing to take the first step towards such a move. Considering their career would be over.

If that happens, the next president will have the biggest rebellion on his/her side. Good luck to those candidates that fiddle with the gaming industry. If there is one things I've leanred about gamers, it's that their passion doesn't end when the game ends.

Rockstar has a true talent for pushing the envelope, while maintaining heavy interest in their games. They turn the impractical into mainstream. For that, they must be congratulated. Kudos Rockstar.

On a side note: To each and every politician you've managed to piss off - Thank You Sincerely.

It's too unstable. I had to uninstall due to freezing up. If your having better luck, more power to you. I guess I'll just wait until the beta is over.

It appears a bit faster at first, but I've already had it freeze my computer a few times. Also, some web pages look extremely skewed. Try yahoo.com the Yahoo bar is moved to the right and the page and the backgrounds are off. It also does this on other portals and news sites like AOL, CNN, etc.

Although some of the features seem nice, I had to uninstall due to the freezes.

Good point. There are a lot of issues surounding digital downloads, and ownerships rights are definitely one of the biggest. Second, I'm a bit baffled how MS wants the masses (at this current time) to comprehend and use digital downloads, when the idea of HD is a tough pill to swallow for the casual market. Granted, gamers (which tend to know technology) understand the way things work. However, how do they propose we teach our parents, grand parents, siblings, and friends how to use download ...

These two companies must really like swapping employees. Wow.

Agree. Sony usually does this when they are confirming rumors, and in turn dropping something new on the industry. I don't think they will be dropping the bigger hd altogether. Especially with PlayTV on its. As most are suspecting, there is probably a new upgraded sku on its way.
