Ghost of Tsushima has set a high bar for games in the vein of Assassin’s Creed. While having more options is generally beneficial, Ubisoft seems to struggle with their direction, which can sometimes undermine those benefits. If it was not for the success of Tsushima I don’t think we would ever get assassin Creed game in Japan. Even now sucker punch are a much much smarter team of developers that did Tsushima And now we have Ubisoft who have 15 studios helping making one game

For a studio like sucker punch that sucks. They are one of the nicest studios in the world and deserve all the success

Most likely answer is both platforms because why leave out 60-70 million platform gamers

Yes PC market is all digital. I was speaking for console gaming. I know even now if given the option I want go add physical games to my collection

The celebration of Activision's acquisition was met with enthusiasm, and any concerns about recouping that investment were dismissed with immature remarks. It's clear that PlayStation has a significantly larger fan base, a fact underscored by the fact that all their home consoles, except for the PS3, have sold over 100 million units. A larger fan base naturally leads to a more substantial online presence.

It’s absurd to label a company that has just spent $100 bill...

As a longtime gamer who has transitioned from console to PC gaming, I understand the appeal of digital games. However, it's important to recognize that a significant portion of gamers still prefer physical copies. In fact, physical sales account for 25-30% of the market. Additionally, there are a lot of gamers like myself who won't make a purchase unless the game is available on platforms like Steam or GOG. This highlights a considerable market segment that should not be overlooked.

It’s an average game and no matter how we spin it it would have still been an average game. Publishers chasing live service most fault but if it happens with natural growth it could happen. Look at helldivers 2 and than look at suicide squad. You have Harry Potter game generating 1 billion but WB still want to chase live service and they want future games from their studios to focus on GAAS

Once these acquisitions were announced, many Xbox fans felt that the primary aim was to take games away from PlayStation. Any suggestion that Microsoft wanted to maximize its return on their $100 billion investment was often dismissed with claims that Microsoft doesn’t need PlayStation or Nintendo to profit from these acquisitions.

Historically, Xbox operated independently within Microsoft, for better or worse. However, with such a significant financial commitment, Microsof...

I love sucker punch they are very underrated. I hope the rumor about a smaller team at SP working on a new SLY is also true

We were often ridiculed by Xbox enthusiasts, but it’s essential to understand that Microsoft's $100 billion investment was aimed at generating profit, not merely pleasing fans with Day 1 Game Pass releases.

Microsoft should consider releasing all its games, including flagship titles like Halo and Gears of War, on PlayStation. This strategy would maximize revenue while still releasing games day one on GP, money which could then be reinvested into the future of Xbox. Whil...

I have it on PS5 (never played it it’s in my collection) but I want to play it on PC. But I will wait for it to get below $30.

Sega

It doesn’t when square themselves didn’t want to fund the development of remake. It’s only after the success of the 1st they realized their mistake but now contract is signed. If it wasn’t for Sony there would be no FF7 remakes. Same goes for silent hill 2 with Konami. They don’t want to fund AAA budget. Companies like PlayStation and Nintendo get blamed when in reality they are saving some of these franchises

Remember sega didn’t want to fun...

Exactly and that’s where square enix does more exclusive than any other platform. Gaming is square has always been very unrealistic with their sales expectations. Remember when tomb raider reboot sold 7.5 million and square said it wasn’t enough. They need to spend less on development and have more realistic expectations from sales.

And those thinking games being not on Xbox makes a difference don’t understand we have a decade plus of data sho...

I play on PC but for damn sure not buying. Single player games should have offline option it’s that simple. I bet you this has something to do with UBI hub area where they want all AC games to be played from.

PC gaming is a platform which is compatible with consoles. So many of keep saying the same nonsense for years ago. PC isn’t going anywhere and more and more games will be on PC

OK, but you need better format where these games could actually fit instead of half of the game being in physical form and all I have being on a digital code or have to download

I want to play it for single player and if I want to try legends I am willing to log into my PSN account. What’s the big deal anyway? If I want to play a rockstar game from steam I still have to have a different launcher and account other that launcher and same goes for UBI. On PC we have so many store front anyway what’s another log in. BTW the way we the pc gamers reacted to HD2 will only mean Sony will make it clear before launch that their online is only available with PSN account

Square have no one but themselves to blame. This is the same company that didn’t want to take a risk with FF7 remake so Sony help them fund it. Also they have more Nintendo exclusives than PlayStation so maybe bring some of those Nintendo games over to other platforms

All their games should be on PlayStation and pc day one(if Nintendo console could run it than should be there day one too) as far as Xbox is concerned publishers are worried whethe...

As a subscriber to Game Pass, I believe the service has the potential to be the best in gaming. However, to achieve this, it needs to consistently release three first-party exclusives each year: one AAA title and two AA titles, all with Metacritic scores of 82-85 or higher. Currently, it feels like we are not seeing this level of quality from Microsoft. Since acquiring numerous studios, the only standout game has been Hi-Fi Rush, and unfortunately, that studio is now closed.

Please prioritize PlayStation's core strengths. Historically, PlayStation has been synonymous with high-quality games and a gamer-friendly brand. However, recent communications under Jim Ryan have been met with considerable negativity. It's crucial to be mindful of how statements and intentions are perceived by consumers.

Focus on delivering exceptional single-player experiences, while selectively incorporating a few Games as a Service (GAAS) titles. Play to your st...
