I personally think Batman is just a cooler concept, not that I don't love the Spiderman games.

I am amazed that folks haven't realised that these collectors editions are almost always bulked out with pretty naff, cheap items. Occasionally you will get a cool model but anytime you have electronic or complex items they are almost always of poor build quality.

I loved Enslaved too, did you ever try Shadow of the Damned? Another great title that many slept on.

Loved it back in the day and have my copy sat on the shelf and ypu are right, it was super niche, which is why my copy is increasing in value slowly but surely. Hoping a remaster doesn't tank the value of my PS3 copy

As someone who needs to walk his dogs 2 hours a day everyday on top of going out to work full time to support a wife and two kids, I feel quite fulfilled dude. My games are a pastime I enjoy, I was just pointing out the irony in a pretty average dev taking potshots (light hearted or otherwise) at such a talented developer.

Getting paid my MS still devalued their work squire. Rightly or wrongly, when they announced the PS5 version of the game, I didn't give two hoots. It was an old game by the time it came, all the buzz had gone and I knew it was free elsewhere; there was no chance I was paying full price for that
now old game, it wasn't worth it in my view.

Perhaps another dev will include content in their game mocking devs who devalue their work by giving their games away on streaming services and then expecting to be able to charge full price for it a year later?

Loved Hades personally, but I agree CS is a surprising omission given is impact on gaming over the years.

It's just an opinion though duder, no need to take it so personally. Some of your choices would make it in to many people's lists and I am sure many of mine wouldn't make it into yours.

Just take these lists as a bit of fun, I find it really interesting to look at others lists.

That's the beauty of these kinds of lists though, I find the Edge list interesting and your choices too. There are so many great games out there.

I would put lots of games in my list that many have probably never played, but I adored on my Amiga back in the 90s. A list without Cannon Fodder, Populous 2, Syndicate and especially Sensible World of Soccer seems sacrilegious to me 😄

Anyway dood, you have great taste in games, some great picks yo...

It's just opinions though Fox, whilst BotW didn't resonate with you (and many others), it did with millions of others.

Out of curiosity, do you have a personal top game? I really struggle with this question personally, I bounce between Last of Us, Bioshock and Bloodborne as my faves, but BotW is certainly up in my personal top 5.

Don't forget mind, that Sony had the game pulled for absolutely ages, so you couldn't buy it on PS5 for the longest time.

Exactly the same as me squire. I know I'm an old fart at this point, but I still love my physical games and despite being really excited to play Cyberpunk, I am willing to wait until they release the inevitable bundle.

Agreed Sci4me, I have been quite frustrated with Sony at times this generation, my particular issue with recent management has been the lack of engagement with the community compared to previous generations.

I just never felt that Ryan was as sincere as previous CEOs and I don't just mean in respect of charisma, I just feel he was less concerned with the art and creativity of games development and saw games as more of a means to an end.

Same here squire, how anyone can look at MS's conduct in other markets once they achieve a dominant position and not be concerned about the consolidation of the gaming industry that is going on blows my mind.

The thing is, competition such as Nintendo v Sega was quite healthy because both were competing on a somewhat even footing and they drove each other forward to compete however, MS have zero interest in this kind of competition. They want to drive out any completio...

Busting to play Cyberpunk on PS5 but want to wait for the whole package to release on physical as Witcher 3 and its DLC did Hope to hear an announcement soon.

It's not even the most talked about game this year squire. Zelda had way more buzz than Starfield.

I am not saying Starfield isn't a good game by the way, Starfield also has a lot of buzz, but let's be balanced shall we.

He reminds me of Cliff Blescinski to some degree. You have to acknowledge they deserve respect for their efforts on a classic title or two but they have really dined out on that for a decade or more now.

Games have moved on considerably and Jaffe and CiffyB have kinda been left behind. I always found them both to be very abrasive in their hayday personally, not personalities I liked, always talking shot about other devs etc.

Having said that, Jaffe is en...
