I've been saying the same thing. Very few franchises actually end in a big epic bang. they usually get milked on and on untill they stop selling. I DO NOT want that to happen to my favorite seris ever, MGS.

MGS4 is supposed to finally, once and for all, wrap up the story and in a seris that is VERY plot driven, I just don't see how you could continue it with sequals after the story was already wraped up.

people are getting this rumor from the picture of a moon on the "next month" page on the NP magazine, but it's also more heavily rumored that it's a new Castlevania game for Wii or DS.

Red Alert 2 was my first RTS I ever played. I played that on the computer all the time before I ever got into console gaming much. Deffinitly gonna have to get this just for the memories alone.

they don't know how to hide because they don't get to play MGS! :) couldn't resist.

there are more locations in the game than what we've seen. There's European locations, I believe South American, New York I think, and the Middle East.

not sure on all of those, but I do know there is a much wider array of locations than what we've seen. All of what's been shown to us in the trailers/gameplay is of the first act.

I was reading the summary thing on this page and at the end it said "As a long time fan of your site,"
then I scrolled down to where it said "kotaku.com"

Oh well. I'll be too busy playing SCIV this summer to care.

They were loosing a lot of money before, but now they're about breaking even. I believe the 40 gig model (might be 80) now costs $400 to make (the same price they sell it for). Sometime at the beginning of this year the manufacturing costs went down a lot.

Who knows, mabye this means another price cut at the end of the year.

I actually want MGS4 to be the final game to have anything to do with Metal Gear universe. As much as I love the seris (my favorite ever, by far) it's that love that makes me want MGS4 to be the final one. I would much MUCH rather see the franchise go out in an epic bang, with one of Kojima's best works ever, than see the franchise whored out with further games not created by Kojima (be them pretty good or no).

Remakes, I guess would be ok. But please, no MGS5 unless it's cr...

MGS4 will be my GOTY for the story alone.

However, everyone should know by now that there isn't usually one difinitve GOTY. Last year Mario Galaxy, Bioshock, and CoD4 all won several awards for that honor from different sites/mags.

I don't think this video was a conspiracy. i think it really was a mistake. But I also think a lot of their staff is particularly biased. Especially on Screw Attack. I know that's supposed to be funny, but I don't find humor in constantly bashing PS3 in a video about if you should sell or keep your Wii...

However GT usually has decent reviews (allthough that Uncharted 8.9 stuff was stupid. They just couldn't bring themselves to give it a 9?)
but the main reason i go...

did you just call me a fanboy? I happen to own Wii and PS3, and I have nothing against 360. I actually play it frequently at friends' houses.

What I have a problem with is these guys at Kotaku continually antagonizing and mocking Kojima (one of the most respected game developers in the world) and blowing his words out of context.

Did you even read his analogy of the flying car thing? It perfectly explains what he means. They were promised a flying car, they b...

i'm in US, with a 60 gig, and I havn't had any problems with GTAIV.

I got the game on the 29th at launch and didn't even have any problems when other people were.

F*** Kotaku. Everyone knows what Kojima really meant. Artists are never satisfied with their work, they always want to do more and more, but there will be limitations.

Kotaku is just a bunch of angry 360 fanboys from the looks of it. They took his original, and new comments way out of context on purpose to put down the PS3 and MGS4. Now they're going so far as to disrespect Kojima himself, one of the greatest and most well-known developers ever. While they're at it why d...

Unfortunately, as many of you may know, Rare is NOT the same as they were in the SNES/N64 days. After they left Nintendo and were bought up by Microsoft, the majority of the developers left the company.

The result is a slew of mediocre games. Kameo was good, but by no means a AAA must buy. Banjo Kazooie on N64 was incredible. They have the formula for the game from the old Rare, so I expect this one to bee good, but not great. Mario and Ratchet and Clank will still be bett...

Wow. he really really hates the PS3.

he took a video centered around the Wii, and emulated PS3 hatred more than anything. way to go GT. (i know he's supposed to be kinda sarcastic, just fleshing out the stereotypes, but still...)

so 360 has 60% in US, PS3 has 60% in Europe, so they sold approx. the same amount of copies on day one, with the 360 having a larger install base.

5863d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

ya, i think it will sell more on 360 in US, but much more on PS3 in Europe. Especially since they're getting a GTAIV PS3 bundle.
