Then you have more faith in Konami than I do. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to hear that they're keeping the voices, but there's so many other ways they could potentially ruin this remake. Hopefully more information about the project gets released in the upcoming days and weeks. Right now it's kinda hard to know what to expect.
I will never understand why publishers think a vague cg trailer is a good way to announce a new IP.
I don't think cg trailers should be a thing at this point at all, but at least it can work for something like MGS 3 remake, because simply knowing that it's real is somewhat exciting. With a new IP however, nobody knows what they're looking at.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is great. You can barely call it a Sony showcase though. If you cut the PS5 interlude animations and Jim Ryan's segments you could've told me that this was the Summer Games Fest show and I would've believed you.
They aren't doing E3 anymore so I don't how that's relevant. They just didn't do a good enough job of providing us with a roadmap for the next 12-18 months.
Snake eater is 3. It's already included in vol1. Vol.2 will probably be Peace Walker and 4 in my opinion.
The remake is completely separate from the collection.
Decent showcase, but I expected more, particularly from 1st party.
I'm surprised Death Stranding 2 wasn't there, but I guess Geoff made sure Kojima saved that one for SGF.
The vol 1 on the collection gives me hope that MGS4 might eventually be ported in a vol 2.
I'm gonna need to see actual gameplay for the remake before getting hyped for it though.
If I recall correctly FFVII Remake also didn't have a day 1 patch and only received a single patch months after release. Really happy to see this trend continue if it means more games launch in a better state. Hopefully western publishers also take note.

That is part of the lesson that other publishers can learn from this. Gaming isn't forbidden. They had some limitations on marketing and distributing video game consoles, but as far as I know those have been lifted a while ago. Owning and using them hasn't been illegal even when those limitations were in place. PC gaming is huge in China.

For indies in particular, AI tools are actually quite exciting. The games industry as a whole is pretty much limited by manpower anyway, so increasing productivity is absolutely necessary if we want the medium to keep progressing. In the long run, production cost could go down significantly and development cycles might become shorter, at least for what is currently considered a AAA production, but at the same time that'll allow publishers to raise the ceiling again, because increasing bud...

Mainly hoping to see more of Death Stranding 2 which seems very likely to me. FFVII Rebirth would be awesome and certainly plausible, but it could also be that Square Enix doesn't want to interfere with XVI marketing before it comes out.

Nintendo would be stupid charged less. It's one of the most critically acclaimed games ever in a popular franchise, releasing on a console with over 120M install base. It'll have absolutely no problems selling at that price at all.
I'm just saying out of all the things that could potentially go wrong with this project, a change of VAs wouldn't top the charts for me. But yeah it is good news. Let's hope this trend continues.
