Concept artist has a very distinct style and if they can translate that into the game well this studio will be making some visually stunning games.
PS Now is the closes thing they have to Game Pass at the moment but I wouldn't say they are direct competitors since PS Now doesn't have day 1 content.
If you look at it from a purely value proposition of games alone, I think PS Now does have more games on there. That is clearly not what people want from the service which is why they are reworking the way things work with Spartacus.
Sounds like you didn't actually read or understand a single point I made.
You're not going to run into a lot of people saying Game Pass is bad value. It's a value proposition with multi-player games in focus which is why it makes sense that it's a subscription.
Go troll somewhere else.
I think they are aware of their audience, I don't think single-player games are going anywhere. People that are saying all they will do from now on is multi-player live service games are either trolling or being ignorant.
To build up on what you said a bit, they have already done a lot of stand alone multiplayer games. Uncharted 4 and Ghost of Tsushima Legends are already standalone, I don't remember if Last of Us Factions has a standalone version. Destructions All-...
The article brings up an interesting angle I haven't really thought about. Spartacus could change everything we know about all of this. If they have an access to all the live service games included in the subscription, this could potentially be a game changer.
I don't think day 1 would work for their single-player titles but having an access to Factions 2, Horizon MP, Destiny etc. and all of the main content for extra $5 a month does sound appealing and would compe...
Yeah, because Avengers, Fortnite, Overwatch, Genshin Impact, etc. are all exactly the same.
What exactly are you talking about?
Talking about logic and then completely dismissing the fact that they just acquired like 5 studios in the last 12 months.
Even before all these aqusitions, Jim said they had over 25 games in development.
"We create some of the best single-player games out there, why don't we stop making those and shift all of our focus into something we have very little experience with."
I'm going to reserve my judgement because we don't really know what the games are going to look like, personally I'm not a fan of having to constantly go back to a game.
I have the platinum in Destiny but haven't done any of the expansions yet for example.
I would say the worst part of these games is just the always online aspect, you know that 10 years down the line these games just won't be around anymore and you can't really go...
Time to bail out of gaming if it's all terrible as you make it out to be.
Bungie's implied value was 4.0b when they left Activision. They have over 900 employees and are working on multiple projects at the moment.
Plaustation seemed to have paid about what was expected. Surface level it may not seem like a lot but Destiny is now the biggest game Playstation owns as far as concurrent playerbase goes.
In this instance they are not buying IP, they are buying the talent and a business model.
Doesn't really take an analyst to figure out that Microsoft has more money than Sony. This article is just a waste of everyone's time.
This is not a response to the Activision deal, I'm not sure where you're coming from. This game began development when the last one finished.
You probably won't see a response to the Activision deal for a long while, if they ever even bother responding with a publisher purchase. That's not really what Playstation has done before.
Calling a game that's coming out near the Activision announcement a "response" is a stretch at be...
What an amazing story, Joe Danger was a fantastic game and hearing about these kinds of stories makes me much happier than hearing adults bicker back and forth about which animations a game is re-using and the amount of pixels on the screen.
This is what gaming is really about and I feel like some people just tend to forget that
The first one was a neat little game, hopefully they find meaningful ways to expand.
We're not even close to being close to emulating hair to that degree on current machines. They make priorities and cuts based on what they feel is more important.
I'm guessing they didn't feel it was important to apease people that nitpick little details.
I like trophies quite a bit, I mainly use them as a checklist of tasks that developer felt were interesting or unique. I get the Platinum and 100% on nearly all the games I play because they're a great way to wrap up the experience and give much needed closure for some games.
I just fail to see any competitive component to them or going out of my way to play a terrible game just because the Platinum is easy. I don't see how someone can compare their 10 quick an easy...
American English is the only English that actually takes it out. UK, Canada and Australia all use it. You can thank Noah Webster for that. It was his attempt to "modernize" English.
"Stealing" is a bit too dramatic. I just hope all those trophy hunters are going to be able to recover from this grand unjustice that Naughty Dog has put them trough. Those poor people will only get one Platinum trophy when they sync their PS4 save file.
I'm assuming most people will already have their saves on the cloud so this sounds incredibly simple. Like an extra button press compared to starting a brand new game, I really don't get the outrage you're having here.
EA and Take2 are either acquiring themselves or looking to expand, I feel like they are off the table for now.
