They've put out 3 or 4 times more controllers than games at this point, who's collecting all these limited edition controllers and xboxs?
Also shows how laughable it was for so many to cheer on Microsoft for trying to monopolise the industry, several studios down the drain.
This is why I have always advocated that Sony should not follow Microsoft's footsteps and adopt their model, Xbox couldn't afford to do it, Playstation certainly can't either.
Maybe they need to put less games on there or just simply charge more from the beginning, I think they guttered their bottom line, they didn't make as much as they could have from selling games.
I was just thinking this, they just fired all those people and now stated they are spreading their staff thinly, this just reeks of incompetence.
I was going to say this, now? Now, your trust is shaky? The only good gen Xbox had was the 360, and Sony stumbled badly at the beginning of that gen anyway.
Not only that, but it makes games more expensive to develop and increase the development time.
That is the disappointing thing about the PS5, it's library pales in comparison to previous Playstation generations, I miss the amount and variety of exclusives we used to get.
This was my best friend when it came to car trips, I had the classic Gameboy (which I'm sure I still have in storage somewhere). Then I played it obessively when the Pokemon games came out, I played Red and then Yellow, I think I then got Gold and my sister got Silver. I also had Mario, Tertris and Link's Awakening. I also remember returning home in the dark on car trips and trying to play by street light lights.
Good times.
I would only use it for Trophy/Achievement crossover if there was sign in for single player, but overall all, I don't really need/want it.
It's a pity they never got around to that second collection, I don't really care for Call of Duty much myself, so to hear they picked that over more Tony Hawk remakes stings a little.
Some countries don't even have PSN, so obviously they would at least need a solution for those people, or maybe allow some sort of global PSN ID so that they can play.
I honestly wish Steam had more competition, I really wanted it to be GOG, but the closest we got was Epic, and even that wasn't a good match against Steam. Steam has its own issues like its hatred towards anime games/Visual Novels, and inconsistent censorship (Who on the approval team OKed "Furry Sex with Hi*ler", but banned 2 out of 3 Dungeon Traveller games?).
I just hate how every publisher has to have their own Store, I don't mind stores that serve ga...
At this point, it's probably better to match them up with Nintendo, I don't think they'll have to worry about Xbox for a long time if ever again.
Now if only it would show up more often, unfortunately the majority do not make a fuss often enough, hence why the industry is where it is now.
I'd rather have more games (and despite "recycling", they're still more varied and interesting/fun), at least Nintendo is putting out more exclusives, Sony has barely outputted anything exclusive this gen despite how good the hardware is. The point you're trying to make is just proving my point on how far Sony has fallen compared to last gen (PS4 and earlier).
Nah, I'll stick with my Switch/PC/Steam Deck and get all the games.
Their games output is still better than Xbox/Sony this generation, Sony really fell down this gen, can't believe this is where we're at. Nintendo has their own issues, but If that's how you want to be about Nintendo, it makes Xbox/Sony look even worse than how I framed them in the post above.
Reduces population using "one child policy", people stop having babies, so they remove it, no one wants to have babies now despite limiting them to only 3 children. I'm pretty sure economic conditions also play a big role in that one too, especially since 1st world countries are starting to experience Asia's low birthrate problem (except they get around it with imigration).
If it can play Switch 1 games like rumoured, getting the Switch 2 will be even more appealing for me.
I don't think Apple can really innovate any more though, their phone sales have slowed right down, it's going to be tough for them to enter the gaming market, especially if they're not smart about it.
