And they've only actually unveiled 2 vids this week (purely for promotional purposes) and a pretty piece of artwork. As far as actual unveils, they've yet to truly reveal the armor customization outside of one pic, and the only example for facial customization came from some obscure German vid. We're yet to get like half the team's bios, and other than knowing there's a ton of new types of weapons, we only know that 4 of the new ones are an lmg, a beam rifle, an smg, and a rocket launcher. ...

...was awesome. but a game? no thank you. I like to remember my Swayze as the dirty dancing superstar he was, not the video gaming travesty he might have been.
because when SotC hit, the "Games are Art" theme became very dominant and a staple of game development culture. I think it swayed many to think differently in regards to their game rather than, "it's just an action loaded simulation".
are missing out! just because you didn't play them doesn't mean they didn't have a big impact on the industry. did you just start playing video games or something? I know I didn't really get into games until about 6 years ago, and I've played 10 of the 15...
it's pretty senseless to explain the impact each of those games has, because the article does a good enough job of it on its own.
isn't Happy Farm a clone of Harvest Moon in and of itself? Correct me if I'm wrong there. I've never played it and I have a habit of staying away from facebook based games.
If I had to make some additions, I'd pick Assassin's Creed for establishing parkour as a major gameplay mechanic, and then I'd pick Mirror's Edge for establishing a new level in first person platforming (which is going to be a big key in Brink).
And just for laughs, Gears of War was influential ...

played by a full orchestra at Video Games Live was phenomenal. High point of the night for me without a doubt. Too bad the Halo theme song was ruined by the guy trying to be all edgy and get the crowd involved. I was there to listen to the music, not little 12 year olds scream their heads off over games that they'd "heard of".
to invest in some quality voice actors? who knows, maybe she's a big name in the voice over world, but every time she swore it felt terribly forced and when she was patronizing the guy it sounded like some kid trying to do one of those cheesy monologues in a speech competition. kinda reminded me of morgan freeman in "Wanted".
