First game was ok I guess. Had some weird moments with the mannequins (a mechanic which has been overused by soooo many horror games lately) but the atmosphere was decent and the Switch port was quite good, if a bit dark.
That is a weird way of saying that Phil Spencer is directing Xbox to obscurity.
I can already picture the marketing material for next xbox console.
"Xbox Gen Z combatible console now available"
In my opinion, the issue here is that Phil seems to have no thesis, only ever swifting strategies and narratives instead.
They delivered a next gen console with no exclusives and the draught carried over for 2 years. When they actually released games, many of them were mediocre or below expectations (Refall and Starfield come to mind although I confess having great fun as solo player in Redfall with Jacob).
We were then told that games are coming because ...
I still cant believe that they released Goldeneye on Switch with such horrible control scheme.
Talk about a wasted opportunity.
I really want this but I found it that it was already released on Steam in the past with solid sales on top of it so I am getting in on Steam Deck.
Switch graphics this time do not look good at all

It seems that this is not a good port.
I really do like these smaller warhammer 40k games like Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, ...
@DeusFever
Iphone 15 pro run appears to use a dynamic resolution in Death Stranding and it seems to average around 400p in typical play (with frame rate issues on top of it) according to Digital Foundry whereas PS4 run at 1080p.

We have to be realistic given the requirements Nintendo usually considers when deploying a new console the last few years.
It must be power efficient and small in form factor in addition to being hybrid (therefore lowered specs in comparison with other consoles). This means that it will not become as hot when playing as say the Steam Deck.
It must be relatively cheap (not in the 500$ price range but lower)
It must be backwards compatibl...
Well said maniacmayhem. It is evident that many companies overextend, only to find out that the market does not support such endeavours to the detriment of employees.
@ariv88: welcome newly created troll sony account. Please pay your respect to Sony overlords or the cheque will not be reach you on time.
This is an industry wide issue. The employees are the ones that suffer and there is no room for company fanboys like you at this time.
If Obsidian does not update Xbox version to run at 120fps, we will both have our answer I guess.
I am not sure that Stoic Studios is MS first party studio (Towerborne developers).
Ah good times. I really enjoyed this on PC back in the day
Has he ever being proven right? I sincerely cant recall a time where his predictions came true which is all you need to know about this "analyst"
@GamingSinceForever
You are obviously trolling. Xbox Series X runs numerous far more demanding games at 120fps

The game was indeed amazing. Great characters, gameplay and story!
But the dream sequences penned by Shigematsu were sublime.
I still remember many of these stories and I have integrated in the past in my D&D campaign many years ago.
@ Einhander1972: Financial Detective Pikachu strikes back
I was an early adopter of Dreamcast and never regretted it. The sheer amounts of exclusive quality games released for such a short console lifespan is amazing.
Soul Calibur (masterpiece launch title), Sonic Adventure 1+2, Metropolis Street Racer, Skies of Arcadia, Outrigger, Powerstone 2, Ferrari F355 Challenge, Sega GT, Shenmue 1+2, Resident Evil Code Veronica ) to name but a few.
Its specs were quite good for its time (Dead of Alive 2, Le Mans, She...
Assuming they release in 2024, the following are my most wanted games:
Silent Hill 2
Final Fantasy 7 rebirth
Hellblade 2
Metroid Prime 4
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine II
Alone in the Dark
Still Wakes the Deep
The Casting of Frank Stone
Indiana Jones
great list you got there!
One thing that pleasantly surprised me, was the Switch port, as back then it was my only console. The graphics were amazing and the artistic design helped a lot to enhance the visuals.I took some really impressive screen shots while playing which I still revisit them from time to time to remind me what a capable developer (QLOC) can achieve with weaker hardware.
