Well in some instances the developers are to be blamed.

For instance games like

adam venture originstown of light agony, pokemon scarlet, parasomnia verum
are really terribly optimized ports and there is no excuse as the switch can handle far more demanding games than those.

Then we have ps3/xbox 360 era games which run amazing on switch (ghostbusters, sniper elite, crysis games,  metro last light,resi...

Dragonis previous game, the Shore, was brimming with Lovecraftian lore and Mythos (more than any game I have seen thus far.

It was pure fan service and the graphics were rather good for an indie solo developer game.

However I am sceptical about this one as there is a huge competition out there for co-op horror games.

Here's hoping

@IamTylerdurnen1

ok first of all, stating that you own xbox, does not immediately remove your comment history throughout the years which is pretty damning (sony fanboyism all around).

Its like saying that Orchard, who has proved that he owns a playstation, is not an xbox fanboy.

I have been visiting this website since 2013 so I am somewhat familiar with the regulars here.

In regards to your comment abou...

@IamTylerDurden1:jesus fanboy, go play your favorite plastic sony box and let ppl be hyped for this game.

It is not like Xbox has many exclusive games.

You dont have to downplay everything that does not align with your view.

completely agree. Seems a bit generic and forgettable.

To be fair Bramble is on my wishlist - upvoted you for this.

Having said that, the article listed the site's top pickings. And as you admitted most people would go for the titles recommended in this article.

Origami King was a pleasant surprise. My daughter insisted of me buying it for her and it turned out that it was a good decision.

We had a blast.

The world was masterfully crafted with cute characters, story and great graphics.

It requires lots of time mind you to actually finish the game

I think Nintendo carefully stroke a balance here by preserving the mechanics of the previous games but subtly giving you the option to alleviate the frustration with the new abilities that it introduces.

In case in point, ascend helps you avoid in some instances the stamina based climbing, whereas the fuse ability on the one hand allows you to strengthen durability and power of weapon by using simple materials and on the other hand to have easy access to weapons at any give...

@chonoforce: exactly this! Just because a game runs at 30fps on 720p resolution, it does not mean that it cant be a masterpiece.

BOTW was certainly a highly enjoyable, complex, full of secrets and amazing physics engine game with a breathtaking open world.

Better graphics does not equate a better game. So many open world games on more powerful hardware failed to match Zelda's quality (Just Cause 4, Assassin Creed games, Watchdogs, Far Cry, Forspoken...

At least Project Gotham has not been forgotten this time!

Doom 3 was also an impossible port and fun to this day (1080p 60fps on Switch revisited and had a blast).

Far Cry instinct also impressed graphically

Jade Empire was also very good

Hellblade will most likely be released in 2023. I believe that only Hi Fi Rush was omitted.

Sony list of games seems more appealing at this point.

@edeprez: you are literally creating arguments in your head that I did not initiate or discuss.

I am replying to Mr.Ninosan who said that apart from Bungie, all the other studios acquired Sony acquired worked exclusively with Sony which is evidently not the case.

Most of them yes (that is why I said partially true) but not all.

With regards to the acquisition, I am against it as I previously pointed out in numerous articles, given tha...

The thing is that while on paper MS has many studios, mismanagement and early announcements with video instead of gameplay trailers, killed the hype.

And the caliber of games announced, with few exceptions, has been luckastre.

Dont forget that we are already in the third year of the console cycle and we have only seen very few exclusives thus far (13 in total many of which were third party or may be timed)

All the promising upcoming g...

@Mr.Ninosan

That is not entirely true.

Psygnosis bought in 1993, developed games for PC mega drive and saturn along with playstation

Guerilla developed games for game boy color and xbox, playstation pc prior to being acquired

Zipper Interactive was developing mainly pc games before being bought by Sony for developing Socom

Haven also, did not have a special relationship with Sony

@The3faces:

There is no need for such a comment - igniting the fanboy flame without merit in an article about an Xbox game.

In addition it was Sony who kicked off next gen with games like Rachet and Clank and Demon Souls remake (true next gen exclusives) next to cross gen games.

Even their cross gen games look stunning by any standard (give credit where credit is due)

Ok as a major fan of single player horror games, if this game does indeed support solo play (which it seems it does), it will be great.

This gameplay video without commentary, clearly illustrates the atmosphere which seems to be spot on

It is evidently that you have no idea what you are talking about.

This was not the first open world Zelda either.

It introduced many new elements to the series, it created a living world (all those who say that the world was barren, have clearly not played the game), the physics engine was unsurpassed and the gameplay was amazing.

It lacked story and introduced a faulty mechanic (weapon breaking), but the depth of the game was simply on...
