It’s almost like AAA publishers churning out another multiplayer FPS or third person action game with a battle pass is starting to get boring no matter how polished it is. High On Life is literally like being in an adult cartoon successfully emulated in a game. That’s an artistic genre of game that hasnt been attempted this well since maybe… Conker? Meanwhile Callisto is just a REALLY good looking scifi horror game. I would absolutely take that over other AAA offerings. This has been a good c...
Or even mostly correctly. It’s inevitable that you’ll get hit. Its all about figuring out how to juggle melee, gun, when to heal. The games not THAT hard on medium. Maybe because i figured out how to kill security bots and get 500 credits
Amazing how the production value of the single biggest moneymaking IP in all of entertainment (look it up) is so low. Probably why they make so much money lol. Think of what goes into comparable high profit IP’s like Star Wars, Marvel, etc. vs Pokemon.
Havent heard NX for a while. After the Wii U no one saw the switch’s success coming
It pretty much picked up where the Dreamcast left off, which wasn’t a recipe for success, but was pretty dope.
Yup, its a shame because she does a better Bayo than Hale in my opinion.
I pretty much agree with every one of those scores, except Mad Max which is kinda underrated. Fez and Hollow Knight are just more engaging games than Mad Max and Catalyst. Those games felt bloated and stuffed with filler content that doesnt serve a purpose. Yeah Fez and HK are 2D (as if that disqualifies them), but theyre unlike previous games in their respective genres.
I actually liked feeling lost in a game for once. Most games just hold your hand and put waypoints everywhere. Control was had what many may consider a poor map, but I think it added to the weird atmosphere of the game. Playing that game at 2 AM when I can't sleep was the vibe.
Theres something very wrong with their project management. Maybe too much oversight, maybe not enough. Announcing too early? Their games are routinely in development hell with years of delay. Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Halo infinite. Now we’re hearing similar things about Perfect Dark, which was mismanaged by an internal Xbox developer and is being patched together by a contract developer. The same thing happened to both Halo Infinite and Crackdown.
I can think of games ...
It looks worse than Bayo 2, but that's because Bayonetta 2 is a simple evolution of Bayonetta's gameplay. and it was made for a marginally more powerful console (Wii U).
They didn't advertise it like this, but Bayo 3 is a very different game than the first 2. The scale of the combat and world is totally different. It's more of a brawler than a hack n slash at times. The scenarios and maps the game puts you in are much more diverse. The framerate suffers for ...
Interesting.
I didn’t like a lot of its design choices, and I’ve liked every other mainline platformer including 3D World.
It felt more like a Banjo game than Mario. The numeracy and triviality of the Moons made them unsatisfying to collect. They feel like a side/optional collectable, but theyre the only thing you’re ever getting besides the boss Moons and coins. It looks and sounds good, and it’s not without its moments, but its lacking something for me....
@blackblades
They dont totally suck, but their games are half baked for sure. They make interesting worlds and stories, but the gameplay is linear and unremarkable.
Im disappointed because all i see is once again Konami outsourcing a valued IP to a random western developer. At least this one has horror experience i guess. Homecoming was made by Frogger and Barbie developers.
Im still not clear if the Japanese developed Silent Hill F is...
If you ask me, 7 makes sense in first person. 8 doesn’t. It plays more like an action game, it would feel more at home in 3rd person for me at least.
I make a big distinction between their licensed games and their own IP's. They've said that they make the former to generate revenue to pour their hearts into the latter. The only truly disastrous game they made was Babylon's Fall, but just before that they released the solid Astral Chain and Nier Automata.
I dont think ive ever heard this. I couldnt find a source for it online either.
You can download courses to keep
Viva Pinata is actually a really good game, too.
The problem is MS and everyone else thought the best thing to do was make sequels and remakes of existing IP’s, but the studio itself wanted to make new ones. I still maintain if Nuts and Bolts wasnt a Banjo game, it would’ve been a modern classic.
At least Sea of Thieves turned around and became a success.
Whats the point of playing a lightgun game with a controller…
I thought the Medium was okay. It would be a nice surprise if Scorn turned out to be pretty good. Feels like middle market games can hit good visuals and art, but never keep up in the gameplay department.
No - it feels like a game you’ve already played 5 times. Unsatisfying combat. Feels like those asynchronous horror multiplayer games mixed with Aliens Colonial Marines
