riprten were not the first to see the ps3 version running, if you go to IGN they mix the footage between the 360 and the ps3. I wasnt ever aware that this is an issue, ign stated a while back that both versions looked the same back when they said that the sixais would be used ah-la twin twang. well if you actually thought about it, it makes a lot of sense for example the controller and game alone add up to over 100$ meaning if their giving it away completely free thats 100+ per system that they have to eat multiply that my a couple thousand and thats a lot of money. I'm surprised that MS didnt do that here in the state with halo instead of selling those dumb helmets, a bundle with have done them a lot better than the helmets. they went the extra mile of a halo themed console but it didnt include the game so it kinda defeated the purpose.
my take on it is this: 299 40gig, 399 80gig, 499 bundle
i think their plan was to sell through all the MGS-less 80 gigs to create a sort of shortage if you will, then when the game is released not only will sale boom for the game itself but sales will aslo boom for the game due to the bundles. this in the end keeps konami financially happy, and if their happy there is no point in it going 360, i think it was a form of insurance on their part.

@1.2 we can throw poop all day for instance, what about the 12 mill and some odd 360 owners with no hdmi or pottentially defective systems. or the 3 mill and some odd gamers without hard drives. The sixaxis is not at the same level as the add-on cause it still have a purpose and will still be used.

@24.1 of course it will have the upper hand on games its been out longer than the ps3. Yeah the wii has some AAA hits too but its not as technical to program for. Personally the only 2 games 360 has i wish were on ps3 are gears and dead rising. Im all holo'd out from the first two.

wasnt halo 3 suppose to be released on the launch of ps3, it was delayed a lot too and it didnt use the cell.
i think a systems complexity to program for adds to the systems life. who knew the ps2 could pull off the beautiful god of war 2 at such a late stage in its life. the fact that the ps3's power still remains shrouded in mystery is a good thing for the system. @ 5.2 there is no way the 360 will outsell the ps3 by 75 mill units. its popular but not that popular, the ps3 is coming into it own and will soon if not already be right on its heals. 360's strong hold is the us and parts of the uk and the ps2 didnt even sell 100 mil with those 2 regions alone.
but launching a new console is very costly, it the old consoles that make the money a.k.a ps2. if ms was to release a system before sony it would be competing with the ps3 which would obviously have the larger install base. i think ms will ride out on their profits for as long as they can. ninty wont be affected by this because their system was cheap to make anyway so they can make a new cheap system and still profit.

I would recommend you buy the first one, it pretty much explains everything. I personally dont even count 2 and 3 just tells about how he and his twin brother rivaled each other and how his brother dies.
the ps3 has sold over 10 mill world wide for your info prob 11 mill my now and the 360 is prob just hitting 18 mill, with all this comp the ps3 has held its own pretty well.
