Before anyone disagrees...again, do realize that by Resident Evil 4, Sherry should already be 18 years old. Also, according to storyline, Wesker has had some spies watching over her. Now that Wesker is gone...

If enough time has passed, Sherry Birkin should be the lead.

I respect your opinion, but it's a different case for me. I too, started Final Fantasy with VII but when it comes down to what I believe is the best, I'd have to go with IX. VI would probably be my second.

VII is great and all, but it doesn't share the same level of polish and charm that IX did, IMO. In any case, I respect every FF game for what they did for the series individually.

Why would someone stop playing their PSP? Not sure I like the tone in that description.

Huh?

I'd agree if it weren't for the fact that the 3DS actually has a Metal Gear coming for it, even a brand new Resident Evil title.

The NGP looks to be excellent, but there is room for both devices. Especially if you're the "hardcore gamer" you claim to be.

The game has already said to be non-canon, do I don't know why people are freaking out. It's just a team shooter based in the lore of Resident Evil 2. It's not the next official installment.

I'd have to agree with IX being better than VII and X.

While they are both great, they are easily the most overrated games in the series. Also, they are the easiest.

IX was a labor of love from start to finish; a throwback to the true Fantasy aspect of Final Fantasy.

Considering this game is just a (possibly) one time spin off with no direct connection to the series, I wouldn't worry so much. Who knows if you'll actually be able to kill him, anyway. It's one of your goals, but it doesn't mean you succeed.

Wouldn't bother me anyway. My favorite characters have been the Redfield siblings since the series began in 96, and that won't change. Leon is an okay fella, though.

Reviews for this are all over the place. Most are mixed, and don't have this low of a score.

However, it's interesting that this review praised the story while most others did not. Many have also said that the gameplay was passable, not too terrible.

Well, it's this guy's opinion. I wish there was a demo.

I don't understand how it could be "dead on arrival" if it hasn't even arrived. I mean, NGP is still the codename for the thing.

There's not even an announced price or date of launch. Some people/haters are idiots.

Code Veronica reminds me of a time when you actually had to conserve bullets and try to survive. Four and five were easy in comparison.

Ah yes, the Survival Horror roots of Resident Evil. Rest in Peace.

Reverie and Legend of Mana? Great update with those alone.

I remember a time when a 7 was good. Those were the days.

It's called InFamous, and it basically guaranteed itself a great sequel.

Square Enix needs to decide where their focus lies this generation.

During this generation, a majority of their best games have been on the PSP and DS, while their console offerings have been a mixed bag of toys.

I feel they've done their part in appealing to the West, and that was the acquirement of Eidos. Here's some advice: let Eidos handle producing western styled games while you give your own franchises the love and care you used to instead of l...

But you see, a real Castlevania fan will have lived with the fact that it's not a Metroidvania game, and that there are Castlevania games before Symphony of the Night that did not have elements that this so called FAN was complaining about in the review.

The original Castlevania games were linear with some hidden secrets. Sounds about right for a reboot.

Would you rather have them take Simon Belmont and turn him into some European, shotgun wielding soldier who utilizes silver bullets and grenades laced with special holy ashes?

Be thankful they at least went with an original storyline instead of butchering the established classics. If you want to really complain, yell at Capcom.
