I would never have dreamed to see an article featuring the best indie game ever created on this website. And it even has comments! Amazing.
Will you also never talk to jews or blacks? Discriminating people because of a single attribute is never a good idea.
The ultimate cash-cow: The Sims MMORPG. 5$ for a new lipstick color on your character. I can see it clearly before my eyes.
3D has a lot of potential for action games. Sure, it might seem gimmicky at the moment, because in all the films I've seen so far it doesn't work too well (although there are some scenes where it really shines, especially in long corridors full of people). Playing an action game with good shutter glasses (which are a lot better than the polarisation filters you get in cinemas) can be so much more immersive than playing it 2D.
There are no exclusives on PC? Wait, wot? I'm happy with my Dwarf Fortress, wouldn't trade it against a PS3 or XBox, even if they were bundled with every game ever realeased for them.
Next headline: Microsoft Office works better on PC than on Consoles!!!111
Why only 1? Buy ten!
I am in a similar situation, as my mother is a white blood cell and my father an antibiotikum.
It IS the best game ever created. I recently played through the first three titles of the series, and they still provided 50+ hours of fun each, and this after what? 10-15 years?
Yeah, sadly enough, the mass of people seems to have enjoyed the Fallout 3 total conversion for Oblivion, despite it containing much the same problems as the original game. Seems a lot of people don't tire of slaying ogres/supermutants.
It's because the people owning the IP don't care about good games, they just want to make money.
Actually, it's quite a stupid move, because with this as FPS they ignore the XCom-fanbase and instead trade it in for a huge crowd of over-satisfied shooterfans who don't care one bit about the IP.
But yeah, reflections like these are too complicated for the people in power. They are more like "let's take another unused IP and turn it into a game. what's popular atm?...
This is ancient south-eastern Greece, also called Lacedaemon!
@FragGen: I lold. Speaking of experience, maybe?
The magic system in Morrowind is far better than the one in Oblivion. Nothing beats highly enchanted boots of jumping, letting you jump over small mountains...
@2Spock: Well, can you play God of War 3 on an original Playstation? Didn't think so...when someone talks about (gaming) PCs or consoles, it is usually safe to assume they are talking about current systems, not completely outdated ones.
It's certainly worth the 5$, but it doesn't live up to the hype.
I especially dislike the visual style, which reminds me of popular MMORPGs. The inventory also felt unwieldy (I detest inventories where every item is just a quadratic icon). Lastly, I felt that each new dungeon theme gets boring about half-way through the section.
Which is the reason why they reduced map sizes, weapon ranges and other things, like the number of engineers you can use to help build stuff. Seriously, in the demo, weapon ranges are ridiculous...interceptors only start to shoot at bombers when they are like 1 unit length in front of them. Why do they even have missiles? Rock throwers would suffice for this distance.
What exactly did GoldenEye "revolutionize"? It was a fun game, especially in 4 player split-screen, but it did nothing new.
Agreed. The only novel thing in Halo was the flood.
Yeah, it takes some perseverance, and the ability to look the other side when one of the quite frequent bugs rears its ugly head, but once you have gotten the hang of the clunky interface, the game opens a depth of gameplay unheard of yet (or in which other game can you drown invading goblins in elaborate water traps, then retrieve their bodies and let them rot in your refuse stockpile, only to later carve trade goods out of their bones and sell them to human caravans?). From taming dragons o...
