Who do you think organizes those booths? Developers? Come on, it's not news that publishers and their marketing staff have no clue what gamers want. It sucks, but it's really a small part of the general problem that game publishing faces now. The real problem is that the people with decision power in this business have no passion for games.

Actually, there are some MMOs that are unplayable in decent resolutions and quality settings by many players, e.g. Age of Conan or Aion. You seem to think every PC gamer has a 480 and i920 in his rig, which is of course far from the truth. There are a lot of people with P4s and 6800 videocards or similar around.
They often still have 15" or 17" tfts and play in resolutions like 1024x768 or 1280x1024.
And then there are all the laptop-gamers.

@Ps_alm3k: Except that a MMOG offers totally different gameplay than an offline RPG. Frankly, there has yet a MMOG to be released that I would spend any money on. 15$ a month for a glorified chatroom? No, thanks.

@danielle007: Nick is the best character of L4D2. He has style and humor.

You don't think far enough. You will still be able to have the social aspects, just IN the game.

Actually, I think head-mounted retinal beamers will become the "displays" of the future. There is no sense in having to stare at little screens when you can beam the picture directly into the eye.

At least they don't try to render the predecessors obsolete.

I doubt it. From what I've read and seen about the game so far, it will focus on action more than horror.

Raypture: When talking about Wine, the first thing you have to know is that Wine is not an Emulator: http://wiki.winehq.org/Debu...

Really, games never coming to linux is a bold statement. There was a time before DirectX, when everyone wrote OpenGL software. This time will come again. Those games will run on Linux AND Windows.

Mac OS X is based on BSD, not Linux. Linux is for ppl who want to know why something works, Mac OS is for ppl who don't want to know why something works and Windows is for ppl who don't want to know why something doesn't work.

You are wrong, captain-obvious. People use Windows, because it comes pre-installed with their computers. Ubuntu Linux is actually easier to install and much more user-friendly than any Windows Distribution. You can even pop the disc in while running windows, and it will install like a Windows Program and you'll be able to remove it like any other Windows Program.

I actually like the new maps. Some high rooftops are always fun in versus. It is a bit short though, but what was to be expected after crash course? I did like crash course as well, though.

The Mutators are also a nice touch. Realism versus is really quite hard, and I enjoyed it even more than regular versus. Suddenly one of the four is missing, and the only thing you hear is the insane laughter of a jockey from somewhere off in the distance...

You mean in two years when noone will play it anymore? Multiplayer games are best played when they are still new...

If rapes reported would say something about rapings going on in a country, then Yemen would practically be rape-free.

Yeah, why use your intelligence for self-fulfillment, when you can also dull it with booze and hookers? It's not everyone's top goal to rise as high as possible in the ranks of the cult of Mammon.

I don't think it's a great idea. If you decide based on single, binary attributes (rapist: yes/no), your decision is easy to manipulate. If I manage to denounce someone as rapist or murderer, you will never talk to him. If enough people think like you, it will become impossible to fight such denounciations.
