Apparently the game has already set records for pre-orders in Italy
Sales will be good, which is great as PD deserve it
judging from what I have read so far the 'majority of reviews' have either not mentioned several features, or got facts completely wrong.
but my point is, even if 50 reviews gives a game 5/10, that still only means 50 people in the world think its a 5/10.
I don't allow reviews to help make a buying decision, I have loved some 'review failures' such as haze, dark sector etc... but it is nice for the devs to get review recognition, for that,...
'GT5 Fails to Live Up To Hype'
That statement is wrong, it should be, GT5 reviews don't live up to the hype
GT5 has not failed because some sites didn't give it a high score, GT5 would have failed if millions of people who love the real driving simulator did not like GT5
a review is one persons opinion. I have been reading views of people playing through the game and they are praising it to high heaven, one person opinion.
The worrying thing is when reviewers make absolute wrong statements. such as no brake upgrades, when clearly there is evidence that there is brake upgrades on some cars.
I just honestly think that these reviewers have not given the game enough time, they have only had review copies a few days and when amar was playing through he said that the pro physics, damage etc was all unlocked later on.
never mind, still the definitive racing simulator for millions of ...
There was a discussion on another thread 'how many 360's have you had and which one etc...'
I was amazed at how many people were on their 4th/5th console - shocking
Oh how video gaming has moved on in the last 20 years, never did I think i'd hear someone complaining about the quality of a video game's shadows on the interior of a car
:)
Well, that is hilarious.
EVERY high profile PS3 release we see the same thing happen, lets look at the negatives and not the positives.
This must be gamespot playing a joke surely? he doesn't know anything!?
believe who you want to believe I guess, love the internet.

premium/standard really should not impact scores. 200 premium cars is more than enough, I doubt anyone will even play all of those, the way I see it is the other 800 are just a bonus!
200 cars, that's loads!
Love the beta, yes it feels slightly different from KZ2 but I feel it still retains it's KZ personality and without a shadow of a doubt the best graphics I have seen in a FPS.
With only a couple of months to go until release, we MUST start seeing some new levels, getting more info shortly hey?
Even with limited tracks (altho you'd have to be crazy to think that 20 tracks with 70 variations is limited), there is the track editor too, create your own track, with weather etc in, unlimited.
If they had of said weather on all tracks, then this article would be about something else, like ONLY 200 premium cars, or ONLY limited number of go-karts - there is always something.
Don't like it, then don't buy it - you'll be missing out on the ra...
and here come the several articles about what GT5 DOESN'T DO, and no articles about the fact it has an immense number of features
it's a sad gaming world these days.
I was talking about the multiplayer, when I said mediocre graphics
I must also say that graphical quality is of course all based on opinion, as in, what you and I find great is probably different
the 60fps thing, fair point, but then again I have never really understood the whole fps arguments as I never notice the difference! maybe my eyes are too slow :)
I played this yesterday, and I have to say I thought the graphics were poor, generally. Having been in the kz3 beta I think I have been spoilt, COD just seems so mediocre with bland graphics and gameplay, I just don't get the buzz over it, original MW was great, spent alot of time on that - but games have moved on, these annual releases just don't seem to give enough
Depends what you want out of your gaming really, it seems as though msft are heavily heading in the casual direction now, with kinect and not many hardcore games, new ips or 1st party devs, other than gears, halo, forza? any other big hitters?
sony on the other hand have opened up to casual with move, but also heavily support 1st/2nd party devs with games such as god of war 3, infamous 1/2, uncharted, resistance, gt5, lbp, killzone, twisted metal, agent, warhawk/starhawk, las...
when is the vga's?
Zir0
I think that is what they are saying though, is that Sony launched the eyetoy, with no controller and it was good and accessible but they learnt it wasn't ideal, which is why now they have the move
So you say track in 3d without a controller, but why? what is the point when you can hold the move and have more button input options etc etc they didn't continue down the no controller route for a reason
it's like Chubear says, it...
kinect is an acessory, surely it will sell more?
they made the citreon GT, it wouldnt suprise me if they didn't make the whole car, just the body etc to cruise around promoting GT5, THAT would be a head turner!
I wander how many 'reviewers' actually unlocked pro physics and damage......
