Stop, and think about it.

Vive has a flow-through camera you can access at any time to find Home Row. Rift has a crack under the lens you can look through for reference.
Both solutions have good/bad, but they are solutions nonetheless.

Put the lighthouses on the corners of your desk and they will work just fine. Vive/Steam have plenty of seated experiences.

Im more concerned if VR is successful right now. Hold off on the Doom and Gloom articles at LEAST until both headsets are out.

Judging by Reddit, there are a lot of happy Vive and Rift owners in the wild.

Valve pulled a masterstroke when they kept their market open to VR. Im glad Valve never made an HMD because now whether Vive fails or is a spectacular success, Valve still has a solid, organic game library waiting in the wings for any VR agnostic Headset. If Nvidia or Benq put a headset on the market it still wouldnt matter to Valve, the more the merrier.

No mods, no overlay, no .exe files, no game stream, no fps counter, hard locked fps, and no Sli support are just a few of the problems so far with UWP.
The more momentum UWP gets, the more they can pressure Devs to sell on windows store. This is bad for PC gamers who are used to an open ecosystem.
Pushing console practises on PC gamers will only hurt Microsoft. GFWL is exhibit one.

GTA Ads were all for parody products. Still no "medicinal cocaine" on the market that Ive seen. Or Sprunk.

Why not just build a PC if you want a console that can evolve with your needs?

So odd that Microsoft is allegedly making the Console upgradeable in the next iteration, and yet they are trying to push PC ecosystem into becoming more like consoles.
Microsoft is having an identity crisis and is alienating both the PC and Console crowd. Console gamers arent keen on Xbox games coming to PC, and PC gamers want the freedom to game as they always have.
Microsoft and their UWP megalomania isnt winning me over.

I was sold on VR with the DK2. The CV1 sounds like a massive leap forward, which is very relieving. I was concerned that the CV1 would be simply a more ergonomic and marketed headset without adding to the quality of the product.
I watched a demo video on what Virtual Desktop can do now, it is truly mind-blowing. I dont know why on earth reviewers arent touting this incredible program.

The only consistent complaint so far about the Rift is its limited quantities. My preorder wont show until after July at the earliest. :(

Lots of crickets on N4G maybe. If you follow PC gamer or even IGN the Rift is quite a popular topic.

So you're going to wait for the new GPU to drop and buy one of them on day one for 4K gaming. But investing in a new GPU to run the Rift is 'foolish'. Im not sure your logic is sound. Any GPU you buy is going to be outdated in 6 months. Will you feel foolish then?

Everyone from Industrial Light and Magic, to NBA, to PGA, to BBC, all have massive interests in VR. When you look at the content beyond gaming, there is a massive tech push being funded by some big players. VR is here to stay folks.
As for the games, well, 30 launch titles is pretty good for any console I would say. And there will be another 60+ titles available before the end of the year. Add 3rd party software such as VorpX or Virtual Desktop, and you have added thousands of n...

The first 2 games didnt have enough gains to keep me going. You couldnt upgrade your guns, 3 star missions meant nothing, and the hidden bottles to snipe were little more than bragging rights. With no opportunities to upgrade your experience, it seems like just going through the motions.
Im hoping they go beyond the eye candy and bullet cams and start dangling a carrot of some type to give the player a sense of achievement.

A PC is not a console. Stop pigeon-holing us in with these crappy ports. PC is not a console and never will be. Just stop it already.
I hope UWP dies a quick and horrible death.

Yes I have a beefy PC. The same PC needed to push 1440/4K on a $600 monitor anyways.
Motion controls will get old to me. I've played the DK2 aplenty with just the 360 controller. In fact the virtual desktop will be the app I use the most, so no waggle sticks required.

Unfortunately I probably won't see mine until July, but this gives them time to work on the Oculus store and SteamVR will have matured a bit as well. So many things to look forward to!
And $600 doesn't seem like much money for a peripheral when compared to a monitor.

"Best Looking Upcoming PS4, PC, and Xbox One Exclusives"

Its just that simple.

2986d ago 1 agree5 disagreeView comment

Exactly. They should word the title that way.

Cuphead, Recore, and Hellblade are all coming to PC. How exactly are these 'Console Exclusives'?
Misleading title to say the least.

You cant get the red bricks without that true jedi stuff in most lego games. The red bricks are usually pretty sweet.
I just got Jurassic Park a few weeks back. My first thought was "Cool!" Then immediately I was like, "Right, lets get destroying".

I am predominantly a completionist though. Its not an easy life choice.
