"You say that, but you can't just make AAA games just because you throw cash at it."
Of course you can. You think they just appear out of thin air? AAA games are almost always well funded. $50 million? I remember back in the day when FFVII was advertised that it was the first game to cost $1 million. I'm pretty sure with $50 million you will get a blockbuster game.
Just hire the right people at the top of the project.
Well just so you know, 360 fans, two of the main reasons why I didn't buy a 360 are: 1. It's Microsoft and 2. Online costs money.
Nothing personal. I just chose to support a company that at least doesn't appear to be always thinking about how to get more money out of me.
It is, since it de-levels the playing field based on how much money you're willing to spend of real money. Gaming is supposed to be about getting away from real life things (ie. how much money you have).
But companies need to make money and Sony consistently has been showing, they like to make their money based off of content downloads as opposed to monthly fees. It works in some cases brilliantly (PSN for example), but for MMOs it's the worst thing you can do.

Well hey, if my internet connection ever goes down, at least I'll have the single player to go back to finish!
I can't even remember the last time I played GTA4, and I didn't even bother beating it before I traded it in a few weeks ago to get an exclusive PS3 game named Killzone 2.
Then I bought The Show (another Sony exclusive) last week.
I definitely am enjoying my investment in the PS3.
Are we really still having this argument? I'm not even going to put in more than two cents but comeon, now's the time to get a PS3 if you don't already have one.
lol I love this update.
Two demos of two games I've been looking forward to (ok not Hawx so much, but it's definitely interesting).
And kudos for 2K releasing their baseball demo before release day this time... I'm still picking up Show though, that's for sure.
Personally, I think there are simply way too many people out there who get offended. It's like all we do nowadays is point fingers because someone said something you didn't like.
I mean honestly, are we really all a bunch of cry babies?
Funny, an article about politcal correctness, itself is corrected to be politically correct.
Bring back the boobs and f*** all the whiners.
What happened to the Epic Boobs?
Crick....et....? *cricket sounds*... oh those crickets.. yes carry on.
After playing The Show, I tried 2K, and 2K reminded me of RBI baseball... and not in the good nostalgic way.
If you're a baseball fan and you've got the money, but no PS3 yet, get one. Best baseball game there is, you won't be disappointed.
Personally I liked X-play when it first came out and it had a very simple, no-nonsense format. Just give me 3-4 reviews and call it a day. Haven't watched ever since they put the texting on the side or bottom or wherever they put it. They were obviously trying to target a younger audience for whatever reason.
I mean, kids are going to watch anyways, why not try to keep your adult audience from ADD overload?
Admittedly I liked VC in the demo, but ultimately I just couldn't convince myself to even rent a JRPG type game. Maybe I'll try renting it, but probably not buy it, simply because I don't like buying games that have an ending. I almost never play a game again once I beat it (the exact same reason why I don't buy movies).
And I was also "scared" away from GT5P for two reasons: one, it's called Prologue (which is usually a few pages at the beginning of a book, so why...
The best fun you can have with 4 buddies, 4 controllers, and a PS3. Split screen online is way too much of a rarity in games today, and Warhawk does it to near perfection.
One of the most underrated games of this entire generation.
What if Sony set up a donation system, whereby anyone who donates doesn't get anything in return individually, but if donations maintain a certain level over a period of time, surely it could lead to even more PSN servers.
I guarantee many PSN gamers would go for this. It's exactly how open source is supported, and I think many PSN gamers support Sony simply for the fact it's not Microsoft.
I use my PS3 to watch sports events. Load up the browser, go to the site, watch. Albeit it's a bit grainier than normal TV, but there are some sports events that I'm unable to watch on cable.
Oh, I watch those said games for free too. And yes it takes up the whole screen if I so choose, can just zoom in on the browser.
How about: it's absolutely not racist? Are we ever going to get past the colour of one's skin, or is anytime one colour does something to the other colour, it's going to be called racist?
It's ridiculous, honestly, get over yourselves. If it offends you then I suppose we should all just play games or watch movies with only black, or only white, or only Chinese, etc.
We'll finally be NOT racist when we look at these things and don't blink an eye.
It's "our," not "are." I was never really hyped on Home, though was curious about it, since it is free. I'm not sure what it's purpose is, since the only time I get a chance to play games, I use it to play games, not walking around online. I can walk around in real life lol, but I can't shoot up enemy Warhawks!
Considering the economy I would not be surprised if it is not a system seller. Those waiting to buy a PS3 aren't waiting for games on it anymore, they're simply waiting for it to cost less. With the uncertainty in the economy it is simply hard to justify spending over $400 on entertainment.
That's why the 360 will sell better right now, because it's dirt cheap compared to the PS3, and if people just want to game, that's how they'll do it. The PS3 needs a price drop, it's as ...
