And it's going to be released in 2010?

I'll be following this one closely. Haven't found a Civ (except for Revolution; that was just a bad idea) I didn't like and I still play Civ 4 relatively often.

I don't want a console in my home that requires I pay to play it online. Defeats the purpose of pretty much every game. And I ain't buying a console for one game.

But yeah you're right it's an anti-360 rant. I was courteous enough to put it in the open zone.

I ain't gonna support a system that requires I pay to play online. It's the principle.

Well it's official now.

This game went from having a 2% chance of being played in my home to 0%.

Never will I own a 360, piece of crap that it is. I ain't payin' to play online beyond my ISP.

Ah I guess I should have been more clear. It was a first-gen refurbished Xbox that I had. I had a PS2 at the time as well (had it before I got the Xbox), and was fed up with constantly having to send it back in to get fixed every 4 months... so I let my lil bro take it apart.

Have to admit though that if it worked properly, I usually preferred to buy the Xbox version of the games, but because it was so malfunctional, I'd buy the PS2 versions just to ensure I could play it.

I dismantled my Xbox a few years back after it stopped working for about the 3rd time.

If you want an FPS that's more than just run and gun (like MW), then this is your game. I said in a previous comment that if IGN gave it a 3 then I might have reconsidered buying it... but in all honesty, that's a lie. IGN could have given it a 1 and it would not have mattered.

This game is great. The key to getting the most out of it is to play it frequently, learn the objectives well, and communicate. There's going to be some truly mature battles once everyone starts fully ...

I used to take scores at their true value, but MAG, properly played (ie. with lots of buddies, lots of communication) is the best PS3 experience right now, for me personally.

There just isn't any other game like it out there on the market.

And to be fair since I'm sure xboxers out there are gonna be against it since it's a PS3 game, I plan on getting Mass Effect 2 at some point; just for the PC.

Right now though, MAG is the best FPS experience out there....

I didn't really like Uncharted 1 and I didn't really like the Uncharted 2 beta, neither co-op nor versus.

As much as I heard how great the game was and all, I just didn't find it fun personally. The reviews and the marketing weren't going to change my opinion.

So, because the game requires more communication than most games, that's reason to dock marks? I say it's about time that a game comes out that requires communication as opposed to running and gunning and being stupid like in MW2.

Normally I don't like buying games that get bad reviews, but I played the beta and enjoyed it. My buds and I are getting this game, and I don't think any review score would change that.

Except maybe if it was a 3 or something.

I just use PSN to game or buy games/get demos. I don't need it for anything else so these new features that Sony is implementing is as useless to me as any feature on Live would be if I had it.

Just give me online gaming and that's all I need. If anything, I find that bells and whistles simply can get in the way if done wrong, so less is more I say.

What are you talking about? Less profit is NOT a good thing because it means you are trending downwards... meaning, keep up this pace, and you'll be losing money soon enough. You want to avoid downward trends like the plague.

This begs another question: are there seriously Wii fanboys out there?

Unless it's got splitscreen online, I definitely won't be buying it. Got bored of COD4 and didn't even bother with World at War. Maybe I just outgrew these games or something, I don't know. COD4 was great but, I need that online splitscreen component to justify it.

This is easily the best 2K ever, the problem is there is a lot of minor bugs that can ruin the experience. The gameplay itself is top notch. The substitutions has been ruined by it being so bug riddled, and I have resorted to using auto-subs until it's fixed, which seems to work ok.

The menus are confusing as f**k though, I can't tell you how many times I've basically just ended up pressing O and X just trying to escape!

I don't think it was a "scam," it was just missing some gameplay elements from previous GTAs for some reason. I mean, if you take San Andreas and give it a next-gen polish, it should be better.. but they went a slightly different route.

The next GTA (not DLC though) will probably make up for it though. In a franchise that is successful year after year, it usually takes a bad year or two for the franchise to take it's next leap forward (cause you gotta get the haters...

I like football too, but it's not the biggest sport in the world. That would go to soccer. Also, football only has one game out, though it's pretty good, and that game is called Madden.

Whenever you see "Sony Computer Entertainment" before a game starts up, you just know it's going to be quality.

My friends and I still play Warhawk. Why? Partly because it has four player split-screen, online. This needs to be incorporated more often, the graphics be damned if need be.

The fact that it's simply different compared to the games that are released today. And you don't always have to die. If you play smart, you can avoid dying, and really, that's what the game is about: not dying.

I don't post a whole lot on N4G, but when I do, I prefer to post about Demon's Souls.

Seriously, great game and the thing that makes it great is going back to the good old days of gaming. And the online integration is just absolute gravy. I fought one boss where, in a regular type game, I could have just died and tried again. Instead, I warped out of there, forfeiting all the souls (currency) I had obtained to that point, knowing that I'll have to redo the level. Simply to ...
