I do own a 360 & don't utilise those features.
I only just recently bought a headset in late 09 & only use it when I play MAG.
So me not using those features on the 360 & paying for it, to then get the same ONLINE GAMING experience with the PS3.
Thats where I see that LIVE isn't better than PSN.
For ME they do the same thing.

I have played a bit of 360 online & honestly don't understand how LIVE is any different to PSN.
I put in Halo 3 about 2hrs ago and I played a game online, shooting people (mainly getting shot) and in no way shape or form is playing a game online with the 360 or PS3 any different.
@ Disagrees - How is it better, when the gaming online is the same (which is all I care about)
I prefer MAG & it currently is my GOTY. Which says alot from my opinion, because I'm not a huge FPS fan. Madden has been put away & I absolutely loved Heavy Rain & GOW3.
I really haven't put as much time into BFBC2 as I expected. MW2 hasn't been back in the PS3 since the BFBC2 demo. BFBC2 hasn't had as much play as I'd like, but its there ready to go when my 100+ hrs of MAG starts to becoming boring (which isn't going to be soon)

Sounds like the ps3gamergroup should try MAG or KZ2.
I too felt MW2 was lacking in the type of FPS that I enjoy & actually stopped playing MW2 when the BFBC2 demo was released.
After playing MAG, BFBC2 feels a little empty.
I also really have a hard time understanding why you also haven't mentioned MAG or KZ2. MAG, KZ2 & BFBC2 leave MW2 behind. All 4 would be classed as the hardcore FPS games to play online.

Hardcore mode in BFBC2 opnline has a one hit kill (I believe)
I am addicted to MAG like no other game I've ever played.
For MW2 & Halo to sell extremely well, as well as other great FPS games. There are XX Million people that will probably never even give MAG a chance.
Whether XX Million people all agree that MAG is superior to any other FPS all comes down to individual opinion & is arguable anyway.
But these XX Million FPS fans around the world are missing out.
Squad Leader - with 7 other strangers and have them follow your friendly orders, whilst sending in bombs to repel the enemy.
Platoon Leader - and when your team is doing well (or not) getting on the mic and letting them all know they are doing a great job. For you to come up with a new strategy & suddenly see 31 other guys do roughly what you just asked. Whilst sending in better bombs.
Then your missing out on an experience like no other.
IMO - GTA4 is the BIGGEST, BEST & HIGHEST selling AVERAGE GAME of all time.

EDIT: I've always wondered why I don't enjoy my PS3. You hit the nail on the head. Its coz its in 3rd place in sales. Just can't enjoy my PS3 when its 3rd, just like I can't enjoy a game until it outsells Halo. Come on PS3 owners the sales, how else can I enjoy my PS3 games.

That was my 1st look at Ice Hockey, playing around my cousins house. I was instantly a hockey fan (Live in Australia)
NHL '94 was my XMAS pres for 93 & oh what a game that was.
Which lead me into getting NHL '95 for XMAS the year later on PC. But my PC wasn't powerful enough.
Played Brett Hull Hockey, which as the said, was great for its time.
Then had a hiatus, back into the NHL swing a little in 09 & 10. Fantastic sports games.
Yeah I too have enjoyed MAG more than MW2. BFBC2 is a great alternative to MAG.
@ peeps - No, I don't get sick of the same 3 maps per mode. As I've always seen in Domination as defending A+B as 1 map, C+D as another, E+F & G+H.
Those same 3 maps are also better designed than the X amount of maps in MW2. I am still finding new paths & I've clocked in over 100hrs.
That must have been the reason why I liked it so much.
Please PS3 owners, keep buying games - it makes MY EXPERIENCE so much better when a game hits 1 mil.
Still have yet to enjoy MAG, just hasn't reached 1 mil yet. Can someone PM me when it does, I really want enjoy MAG.

I agree with what you have written.
I think you'd assume that the 720 will be "NEXT NEXT GEN"
But if it is Blu-Ray (which I expect, but it should be another Tech) then the 720 will be 6ish years behind the PS3.
Then the PS4 will be released, which I'm expecting in a long time - that will be better tech than blu-ray.
If the 720 releases whenever - It cannot be Blu-Ray. Otherwise MS is left behind.
I aint going to deny that there are some bad PS3 fanboys and just as many 360 ones.

I have made some anti 360 comments in the past (mostly in reply to GR8 1, Jason 360 and a few others), but I don't go into the wall of text downplaying the other console like you just have.
