1st RDR @ 9.75 & now this at 9. Was expecting good games regardless of the review score, but for both to get the respect from those in the Industry is good for gamers.
The 7.5 for gameplay is the concern for me.
Expected something unique.
Looks like a TPS to me.
I was eagerly anticipating this game, thinking it was going to deliver something different in some ways like Heavy Rain.
Once I saw that first 20 minutes of gameplay, I lost a bit of that excitement for the game.
My exact thoughts as well.
@ i3eyond - I found the best quality in KZ2 to be how it rewarded skill rather than time.
You had to get X amount of headshots each match (5 I believe) to get a ribbon, 8 ribbons got a medal and now every headshot would be worth 3 points rather than 1.
That was for alot of different categories.
Was solely the main reason why I was very good at UFC vs online or same system opponents.
I was able to put alot of time in the demo and in result learnt all the tricks that got me through.
The great sequel, that doesn't do whats been done many times before.
Super hero from previous game, starts with powers, something happens and he loses all of his powers. Now he has to get back his powers which somehow now are so much better than the originals.
If that happens I am already disappointed, come up with a new way to do it all.
At 1st look it may be very close, but I can't see MS not showing off something Halo Reach related.
PS3 also has no mention of GT5 or Move (may be off screen)
Even on the PS3/360, some great sequels. But I want to see more about new IP's.
Fahrenheit 2? was the original similar to Heavy Rain (in some ways)
Fallout 3 is up there with one of my all time favourites.
Oblivion when I put it in, I could immediately see the similarities between Fallout 3 & Oblivion - Fallout 3 had a better world setting to me, as I've never been a fan of wizards and stuff like that, same reason Dragon Age didn't really appeal.
Mass Effect I haven't played, but I will one of these days.

But to MS & Sony, XX Million Wii's sold says gamers do.
I enjoyed the Wii briefly, the sport games as you mentioned (for years the main games I would play) were the most enjoyable. Due to the limits in motion. In saying that my idea of motion control in Madden, isn't pressing buttons to pass and waggling.

My only concern for the game IMO was the combat/shooting mechanics.
For the reviewer to put that in the Pros section, obviously has more to it than what I have picked up from the videos we were shown of the first half hour.
May's a good month, too bad all the great games come out just a couple weeks apart.
I'm sure there will be faults with Madden 11 as there have been in the past, but I thought Madden 10 was a big step up from both 08 & 09 versions.

As an Aussie I logged into my US account and was able to download and access it.
I haven't completed the account stuff, but the option is there (not sure if the cost is $119.00 USD or thats AUD - I assume USD)
I payed $300+ to be able to watch any NFL game from my PC at work. Won't pay that price again, but $100 for a full NFL season I'll be in.
RDR can't come fast enough, Alan Wake has my interest.
I'm really looking forward UFC & Modnation as well.
I am also eager to see how good Backbreaker is. I'm a huge Madden fan, but am keen to try this. Will wait to see reviews/gamers thoughts on this one as I believe this isn't being released here in Australia - if it's really good, I'll import it.
I loved Test Drive as a kid, playing on the old Commodore 64.
The game 1st introduced me to the famous cars that I envy.
Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborghini Countach, Porsche (can't remember model), Lotus (model) Chevrolet Corvette.
Physical sports of course, there is nothing in life better than the moment you are on the field/oval/court etc playing your chosen sport - whether for fun or for Millions.
Tiger 10 & Grand Slam Tennis are arguably the best ways to play these sport games.
I also expect EA to re-introduce their Baseball series to capitalise on a sport that will work extremely well with Move.
What gets me excited is if Madden/Tiger (sports in general) get made for Move - they will also get made for Natal. We will start to see the PS3/360 versions being different.
But I definately agree with Heavy Rain (Jason) & MGS3.
As mentioned above, the moment Snake enters the microwaves to rolling credits - can't say enough about it.
The Jason death in Heavy Rain was also very emotional, but I actually felt more emotion in the scene where:
1. You lose Shaun at the park.
2. When you save Shaun from the drain & perform CPR
Not a fan of Gears, but that gun definately is one of the best.
No Fallout 3 guns? MIRV, Mini Nuke or Alien Blaster
