The PlayStation 3 is the last console of choice, so the PS4 would not "again" be the console of choice. Unless Sony can jump from first place with the PS2, to last place with the PS3, to first place again with the PS4. Very unlikely.

A decline? Definitely not in sales. Halo 3 has sold nearly 11 million copies to date. ODST sold 2 million in 24 hours. Halo 3 also has a 94 on MetaCritic, so it definitely hasn't declined in quality either. Unless it declined from mindblowing to incredible... And I believe ODST is somewhere in the mid 80s on MetaCritic. That's pretty great for what you PS3 fanboys call a $60 DLC expansion.

If a game doesn't have mindblowingly incredible graphics, it CAN'T be good! Right? Riiiight? I guess PS3 fanboys have to focus on graphics because that's the only thing they've got going for them.

Microsoft just announced that they had sold 39 million 360s and VGChartz only has them at 37 million, so I would not trust any of these numbers.
You've got to do something very wrong to go from 1st place by a mile to hopelessly dead last in just one generation.
LOL! Did you read that survey right? The 360 is 3% ahead of the PlayStation 2 as the most played console. The PlayStation TWO! The PS3 is not even in there. Even the Wii is above it. Laughable!

Halo 3: ODST - 4.4 million
Forza 3 - over 2 million
Left 4 Dead 2 - nearly 2.5 million
Batman: AA - nearly 1.5 million
Madden - over 2 million
Street Fighter IV - nearly 1.5 million
MAG and Heavy Rain are bound to flop, so I don't know why you'd ever want to talk them up. The only big exclusives the PS3 has in 2010 are GOW III and GT5. The others are overhyped trash, unknown games used to pad the list, Japanese shovelware, PSN titles, and titles that have not yet been confirmed for 2010.
What 360 owners list for 2010 are only the heavy hitters. They don't pad their list with all that unknown crap.

How could anyone possibly call Forza 3 a flop? It holds a 92 AAA average on MetaCritic and has AAA sales to match. According to VGChartz, it has sold 2.23 million copies since its October 27th release. Killzone 2 has only sold 2.18 million copies since its FEBRUARY 27th release. A ridiculously hyped game, apparently 4 - 5 years in development, in the best selling genre in gaming, got outsold and outscored by a racing simulator 2 years in development. Now that's something to think about.
