Jogging, like most exercise, can be quite dangerous if done wrong. Big emphasis on "if done wrong".
Would only be fair to change male Shepard to look like Legolas or something then... but then people would be outraged and the obvious hypocrisy would be... obvious.
From now on the media will blame every bald guy-related electricity accidents on Infamous 2.
Seems like pretty much everyone remembers Goldeneye not as "the exclusive N64 title" or for "amazing graphics", but just as a pure fun game. Same can actually be said for pretty much every great game from the not-so-distant past. I wonder how it all went so wrong this generation.
"The other guys are getting screwed worse than us, therefor it is alright for us to get screwed." line of logic has always baffled me somehow.
A fan/costumer of a certain brand has all to gain by being critic towards said brand, because a flaw has to be identified before it can be remedied. But Instead, for some reason, people seem to be insisting on brushing away any "domestic" flaws, and focusing on someone else's problem (but not to actually help them in an...
Settlers 3 was also my favourite, a pity the series went downhill after. I'll reserve my judgment until I play it, but I fear settlers 7 will be another pretty, but streamlined and action-oriented game.
You are essentially arguing semantics, akin to saying "there is no darkness, just lack of light". Repeatedly doing something out of lack of self control is pretty much the definition of an addiction. Even things that are considered positive can become an addiction if done obsessively, merely as a habit, rather than why it was considered positive to begin with. Including pretty much everything, even sex.
And some people actually do go out and rape someone.
Take into context what I was replying to (comment 12.1), and you'll see that I was comparing agrees/disagrees, which one might use to form a general opinion about people here, i.e stereotypes. I don't care much for stereotypes myself, I don't see things as that black/white, but I'm sure you can see how this doesn't do much to support the outrage gamers have every time someone uses such stereotypes in "gaming-related" news.
By all means have a different opinion than me, ...
If this is any indication of the mentality around on N4G;
1.1 -
death penalty
Agree(21) | Disagree(1)
1.4 - Starve them to death.
And beat them up if they cry.
Agree(14) | Disagree(0)
I'd guess that people don't really care much for the "tragic" part, but more about the "evil guys getting killed" part. Does wonders to disprove the gamer stereotypes floating around I guess.
"Explain to me the point of raising a virtual child when you have a REAL one at home, starving. If you think you can learn anything about raising children from a simulator, you obviously have never had children.
You can point to this as a result of a larger issue, but that doesn't change the simple fact of the matter: they fed a real baby rotten milk and left it to starve while they got their game on. A couple of unemployed deadbeats living with their parents."
...
"I am for the death penalty. Who commits terrible acts must get a fitting punishment. That way he learns the lesson for the next time."
- Britney Spears
Not like such punishment will prevent this from happening again in other cases either, because I'm pretty sure someone who forgets that their baby is home alone and starving is not really in a clear state of mind and "oh, I could get the death penalty for this" is the last thing they are thinking about....
You're looking at it wrong.
It's URMIAY, backwards YAIMRU (you left out the M).
Basically, it's based on how it sounds, so:
YA = Ya; Yes etc.
I = I.
M = am; pronounced "em", but easily sounds like "am" in a sentence.
R = are.
U = you.
The subconscious does catch all this, and much more.
You'd be surprised how common sexual subliminal messages are in advertisement. This is just a textbook example, nothing to see, I mean unconsciously absorb here, move along.
Google it and you might understand better why people so easily fall pray to advertisement and buy lots of stuff they don't need and probably don't even want.
I realize that the score can be considered bad for "review integrity" (does such a thing actually exist today though?) and whatnot, but at some level it's as right as a review can be. This review succeeds where many reviews utterly fail, namely focusing on the fun value of the game. Too many reviews nowadays put way too much into brand names and graphics. Take GTA4 if you need an obvious example.
Games are primarily about having fun, and if a game is so amazingly bad (i...
The list only contains games that are two player in the classic sense; shared/split-screen on same same display as opposed to LAN/online multiplayer between several machines.
50° = front page.
Not exactly the same, practice mode is supposed to give both players infinite life and no time limit.
The usefulness of it is subjective; either you use it or you don't, but it's not like it would take much effort to add it to the game, so I reckon the topic is valid.
Well, if they can patch it in just like it was done with Unreal 3 (based on the same engine and whatnot), and make it work like they did with the Baldur's Gate series; multiplayer that doesn't affect the story at all, I don't see why anyone would be against having the option. Somehow I doubt it would cost Bioware many man hours, that would be at expense of other DLC.
Does it *need* it though? No.
Meh, all the dissing between companies is just circus for the masses. I bet they laugh all the way to the bank at the people who buy into all of it.

That's clearly the expansion pack... Moos of Cowdaria?
