RE8/3 are likely to early in development, they have multiple projects running just give them time. RE2 just came out this year, so it will be another year before we hear anything at all about those projects.

News flash, Joker normally doesn't have scars. Also this is a much younger looking and stylized Joker design. Again I say, it's not bad, just kind of decent.

I think a 50/50 split would have been fair, I don't agree with boycotting over this, but Sony demanding 95% of the profits was kind of insane.
I grew up plays D&D 2E with my parents all the time, then did a ton of home brew RP's for the better part of 15 years that were based more on anime, now I have a group that I play D&D 5E (And various other rule sets) with every week.

The old game was also in an era where it didn't take years to render everything.
FFIX started early scenario writing in July 1998 and it released on July 7, 2000.
Game development now takes 3x as long, which means the budget to pay all of the employees balloons as well. There is no way to sustain a release the scale of those old FF games when trying to remake them.
I work for Wal-Mart (sadly) and they are removing signs for all gun based media entertainment, movies, music, games, ect. It's not targeting games, I think it's kind of a strange move but whatever.

I think we will, but at this point it will make a bigger impact if it's shown with new hardware.
It's not that complex, really it only gets complicated when you start going in depth into the builds and grinding to optimize your frame. There is nothing stopping you from just picking it up and running the story and enjoying it (which actually has some really cool moments)
I have 130ish hours in the game and learned most of the game naturally.
I live in a town of less the 10k people and I have the internet to prove it. Cloud computing is not going to work at all over here, so it is not as interesting to me.
I just checked the price of this game on Steam, and it + the DLC is $514 usd.
Hard pass.
I get the thought behind this, as everything moves to streaming ISP's will be put under more pressure from the customers (Netflix, Pandora, and now gaming are all streaming) so in theory they should start competing with the most, or unlimited data because consumers will flock to that.

In reality they are going to keep their data caps and just start cashing in on people going over because their kid was on Stadia until ,4AM streaming on the...
The first release runs 2 blurays... That is not a cash grab, this is just the only feasible way to remake a game of this scale with devs costs as high as they are now.
Would I prefer a single release? Sure.
Would SE be able to fund it like that for a $60 game? No.
This entire E3 feels like it's just stalling for next gen.
There have been some great showings of games, and a few I plan to get but nothing major was announced because no hardware was formally unveiled.
I was really hoping it would have the darker Noir story style of the first game, I think with them keeping with the hipster theme and style I might be done with this franchise,
It's one thing to ask for a port from an independent team to show there is a market to port you game to.
But this is like wondering why Bloodborne or Spiderman was not ported elsewhere. Nintendo is the publisher, which means they own the IP, meaning it is not going anywhere else.
I want to play it, but I'm in the process of buying a Switch for it, so I patiently wait for what seems like a fantastic game.
