My PS3 copy will arrive tomorrow but I'll still be picking it up for PC when it's out for that silky smooth framerate and over 16 man multiplayer courtesy of dedicated servers :D (lets hope they manage 100 man servers like multi theft auto did with san andreas)

I don't know what mouse and keyboard you've been playing on but M/KB has better movement and aim than a console controller, you may prefer controllers but for FPS M/KB is superior, it's not an opinion it's a fact. Go look up DPI etc
for FPS, RTS and MMO games, everything else I'll play on my PS3.
Half Life 2 is so overrated, it's a good shooter no doubt but it didn't do anything like the first game did. Half life one showed that FPS games could have narrative and scripted action sequences like movies do, HL2 was just an FPS game with flashy new physics and graphics engines. The gameplay was almost identical the that of HL1.

because all GTA games have had good gameplay, reviews/previews have only solidified that, longevity = replay value, GTAIV has multiplayer and a 40 hour story mode, not to mention all the other side quests. What more could you want?

- cheaper games
- more customization options
- much more precise controls for shooters and RTS
- a huge library larger than any of the consoles
- free games
- not just a games system
