A large screen TV can draw much more power than a gaming console. So if you wish to reduce your power usage you have to evaluate the power ratings of all appliances and that includes consoles and PC's. Of course that won't help if you already have those devices.

A "trick" in NioH is (you need to be on-line for this) is to raise some graves that are at least four to ten levels higher than yours and if you win you can get some weapons and armour that will help considerbaly. Of course it is possible to beat some graves that are twenty to thirty times higher than your level but I would strongly suggest the Kusarigama if you try this.

There is a problem with armour when doing the above. Your attributes must allow you to equip ...

The PC I have has an Skylake i7 processor and I only use the inbuilt grphics capability of the motherboard which in turn ouputs to my 80 cm (31.5") 4K monitor. On average my PC plus monitor and Logitech 2.1 sound system actually consumes about 85W to 95W of power when surfing the web (includes YouTube).

Of course that means I don't run PC games which would require a decent graphics card (depends on the game of course). However for gaming I prefer my PS4 and eventua...

The PS4 demo of "Plague Tale Innocence" is actually quite a good intro to the game. What was anoying was the fact that this game was touted as free but unfortunately it was only free if you had a PS5 which is still difficult to get where I live.

I am currently playing "Code Vein" which IMO is what some would call a Souls Anime game. It is surprisingly challenging and If you really want to be a masochist try playing without a parner.

Not into the Tales games since "Tales of Xillia" (which I actually liked) gave me RSI. No other game (I normally play Souls games) has ever done that.

In the original game you can find refereces near the Faro building (i.e. Makers's End) to a spacecraft called "Odyssey" which was left in orbit prior to the Faro Plague so it may still be in orbit. That spacecraft could possibly be worked into the next installment of HZD. Unfortunatley I doubt it, but you never know.

Two anoyances (this is subjective) come to mind:
1) Your party does talk alot. If I hear "Harpy" one more time I am going to scream:-)
2) Some (err many) of the "feach quests" were almost identical.

Those two nit-picks asside, overall I found Dragon's Dogma to be a very good game.

Wow, that brought back memories. I actually have the PS3 virsion of White Knight Chronicles 1 & 2 and it is IMHO a good game. Since this game was developed by Level-5 and Japan Studio it may be possible for them to remake/remaster the game for the PS4/PS5.

What IMHO was a bit strange although it does work, is the fact that the character you make is basically an "Avatar" although you do take part in battles except when the robotick knights are used.

Rogue Galaxy has been ported to the PS4 (not sure about trophies though but normally PS4 games do have them).

Basically if you the player no matter what your skill level are enjoying the game, play-time is not important.

The problem here is the fact that the origninal HZD allowed the player multiple difficulty choices (you could also change while playing) and I assume HZD Forbidden West will have the similar difficulty choices. Although in the new game plus of the original once you set your difficulty you cannot change it.

I am assuming that the play though of HZD FW was on "normal" so the game would be between 40 and 50 hours. Of course there are always players who are really goo...

At least it's not as bad as the Australian offers:
1) EA SPORTS™ UFC® 4
2) Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure
At least you can buy the full game of "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep" later.... WTF?

Sigh! Oh well maybe next month will be better. Still I do have a huge amount of PS+ games to tide me over.

I take it you have not played "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning". Entering and leaving a building is an absolute pain (loading for HZD is almost instantaneous compare to this game), although once you leave a town there are virtually no loading times even when you are inside a cave (there is some loading to enter and leave a cave). There is an auto upgrade for the PS5 though.

The only times HZD has long load times is when you use a travel pack or you restore from a sa...

While I did bookmark the game I actually downloaded and played "Mortal Shell". Somehow I am not overly keen on starting a game with full attributes (at least according to the reviews I have seen).

Actually, I think "Mortal Shell" is a much better game although when you first start you are not sure what you are doing. I do suggest that you look at some game-play (sans spoilers) and get an understanding of the basics before playing.

The...

You can actually do something like this in the original game although what we have just seen in the clip from the latest release is so much more impressive.

There is a technique in the original game that can be called "luring", in that you set up traps (usually explosive or fire) and either by whistle (good for one machine or human), weak arrow (from a distance) or rock (can alert multiple machines so be careful) lure the machine(s) to your traps.

I have yet to see a PS4 update causing problems and I have had my PS4 over seven years. Most of the time the update takes about two to three minutes assuming you put your PS4 in standby so updates are downloaded when you are not playing your PS4.

Actually if you setup your standby to suspend a game you can restart that same game in a few seconds although if your game requires an internet connection you may have to restart that game but that depends on the game.

Writing from Australia, we can get a 1 TB 2.5" drive for about AU$59 (US$44) and a 2 TB drive for AU$85 (US$64). Both of these drives are Western Digital and support USB3.0 (not that important on a PS4 but you definitely want this for a PS5).

It must be noted that the preferred storage expansion on a PS5 is an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (check for compatibility) and while you can use a hard disk drive it will only be used to play PS4 games or transfer PS5 games to the main and ...

The output graphics for TW3 on the base PS4 is HDR* 1080p and if you have a PS4pro the resolution is HDR 4K @ 60fps. If you have the PS4 version you can play it on a PS5 with at least the same performance of a PS4pro. From what I can gather if you have the PS4 version of TW3 you can get the PS5 update for free when it comes out.

Note: All PS4's support HDR if the game has this, although that does not mean that all displays that support HDR will be able to detect the HDR...
