I would imagine this is a pretty good sign, something I didn't expect considering voice-acting often isn't done until quite late on (especially with foreign voice-acting, obviously a lot of Japanese voice-acting has been done already). This pleases me.
But it's not a game, it's just a video. No-one has played it or experienced it because it doesn't exist in that fashion.
Please be excited.
What on earth does FFXIII have to do with a phone/tablet version of FFVI?
It's kind of ironic the following Noctis has had since we got that first real trailer of Versus / XV (not the teaser in 2006, the first one after that) even though he hasn't even appeared in a game yet, while Lightning hasn't ever really had an enormous number of fans (mind you she barely had any character development in XIII, it's not much surprise).
@Hay: Very true. I'm merely talking about conversion rates though. Also this member didn't say it's too much for him, it said it's simply "too much".
Like Ashe said, get the cheaper version if it's that much of an issue for you. $40 is nothing compared to the £30 it is in the UK, and $20 is a realistic and very good price. You won't find it for £12 in the UK you can be sure.
Plus they seem to forget the release of Kingdom Hearts games like Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, as if they never existed.
"Quite" far? It's been almost 8 years, is it being "quite" far into development supposed to reassure us?
This has been known for a long, long, long time.
That may not be true. If he/she plays this and enjoys it, they may very likely go on to play older Final Fantasy games. You have to start somewhere, and heck I started with XIII and have gone on to play VII, IX and am currently playing IV and have enjoyed all of them, even in going directly from XIII to VII (which was an enormous graphical jump, as you can imagine). I still enjoyed XIII for what it was, I mean that was my first try of the JRPG genre and to play that sort of game, and despite ...
@DragonKnight: There has been a huge number of tweets since the announcement of MGSV (and his lack of inclusion in the game) proving his bitterness over it. I'm not going to search for them to post here, they're all there and you don't need to look for any deepness in the comments. Here are few though:
"Ah well,
Can't fault @RealKiefer
Great actor, good man. The game will probably still be excellent.
Lik...
Not really. He thinks he ought to be the voice for Snake eternally and since he's not any more he's been endlessly bitter about MGSV. He's done great work on the series, but if KP want to change him then they can, they don't need to justify their decision to him.
In fairness XIII took about 25 hours to actually get going, I can understand people not bothering to finish it.
Oh I agree. I trust in Nomura and what he says, but considering how long this game's development has stretched out and the fact it has moved to a new set of systems it's surely undergone some changes, but I'd be surprised if the open-world has changed much.
The game will have an airship, land vehicles (possibly sea-vehicles too considering the series' past), and you can explore as far as the eye can see in the world map apart from past the mountains. There will be linear sections no doubt but it won't be a linear game from what we've heard.
Tiny bit of extra footage but nothing worthy of a "new" trailer, I think they're just trying to suck in more PS4 pre-orders I guess.
Why was this even approved, this isn't news. Kojima says this periodically and then continues to make more and more games. It's not like he's chained to Metal Gear Solid.
"Please stop robbing me. I understand there is a point you are trying to make, and that it’s a classic narrative device. In books and in movies, it works. In games, it doesn’t."
This is wrong in so, so many ways. Not that I am the type of person to say "your opinion is wrong" normally, since an opinion is an opinion, but this simply is wrong.
It's due out next year or early 2016. Once The Witcher 3 is out and gone we should hear a ton of info on it.
