Man thats's just beautiful. Shame I have no creativity with these sort of things in games but I can't wait to see what other people will make.

Longest for me was FFXIII, 90 hours. Doubt I'd ever be an MMO player since I couldn't afford to get as tied up in it as you probably would want to, but I'm playing more RPG's now so I'd say I'll exceed those 90 hours soon enough.

It's not being made by Kojima.

Thank you. I can't believe there are such ridiculous articles claiming one system will have a better MULTIPLATFORM title than the other. If that's the case then I'll bite my tongue, but I think KP are reliable even if Koji isn't behind this one to make the same quality game on each platform.

Yeah, that's why only 2 MGS games have featured Snake as the main character and 3 have had Big Boss. If you're gonna say Raiden is shit or his story is at least come up with a better term than "Lady boy".

Maybe it was different in certain regions but doesn't FFVII have 3 disks?

I agree, there's too much pressure on him from fans of MG for him to feel like he can leave the series and do something else, if even for just a while. But mentions of ZOE3 finally being made and this adventure game he's been working on are good signs, although chances are they'll all be put on the backburner for MGS5.

@Roccohateskittens: Well yeah I do. Then again I tend to steer well clear of topics that are just inviting moaning and groaning between fanboys of one system or game and another, plus any time I see those sort of comments on the topics that I do click on and read, I tend to just skip over and go onto those that interest me.

I only signed up here a week ago or so but have been on-looking N4G for quite a while now. I usually wouldn't sign up to a site like N4G or any gaming site really (apart from a forum maybe) but here I enjoy reading good, healthy discussion on topics and thought I'd like to be a part of that too.

While I'm not completely sure on the whole "bubble" system I can see the problems. A few articles I'd read I'd see a huge fanboy war or a number of users...

I agree. Insomniac did the same a few years ago with Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. They wanted to put full work into a normal length title but wanted to fill in the gaps of the story before that game came out (and keep fans happy with something to play so they didn't go so many years without an R&C to play) so they released QfB for a quarter of a usual game's price which was about a quarter of a normal game (if not more).

I'd prefer to pay full price f...

I couldn't agree more. When companies offer actual downloadable-content that as you say isn't just something that was ripped from the full game so they can earn an extra quick-buck, then I'm all ears. But like what Ubisoft did with the DLC you mentioned, it's unnaceptable. They're blatantly ripping off their own customers because DLC is supposed to be something "extra" (something like the Fallout 3 packages).

At the moment yes, but they confirmed a few weeks ago that soon they're going to implement a system where you have to buy the game (I think they said this will mainly come with their sports games but I'm not too sure on that) and then you'll have to pay an additional fee to use those online services.

(Although I'm not sure if that means what they'll do is charge a little less for the game itself, and then make you pay the online fee to use the online sect...

This. I don't see why everyone has to announce their announcements nowadays (looking at you Squeenix). Why can't they just make an announcement when they have the actual news?

5063d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

DLC is just cringe-worthy now. The likes of EA in particular trying to charge people just for using online services will not go down well and I can see them losing a lot of customers like myself.

Then again even with the pathetic excuse of a company Activision, even with their overpriced DLC (half of which was already made and the other half is probably a copy of other things already made) they're still selling by the millions so a lot of gamers still haven't learned....

Agree, not a massive KZ fan but have kept up with everything I can about KZ3 so far and some of this was new to me. Can't wait. Going to play KZ2 before this so I can catch up with the story.

People usually ask for remakes because the games they love haven't aged well. You look at the likes of MGS4 on this current-gen and then look at MGS(1). I will always rate MGS1 as my favourite MGS game despite how poor the graphics are, how simple the battles are (think about it) and how little the gameplay allows you to do, because the game is a masterpiece as it is.

Now I don't see any need for a game like that to be remade because it has aged well in my eyes and is...

(By the way what are bubbles? :P)

@STrange_Evil: Yeah I guess you're right, although in fairness we knew Assassins Creed was going to be a trilogy from the start.

Demos are used to help give players an idea of what the full version of a game will be like. They give the user an opportunity to see what the game is going to play like and what the pros and cons of it are. I think if you play a demo without an open mind you're probably going to judge it on the spot and form your whole opinion on the game from that which is what a lot of people do, which may cost developers, but I still think if companies have the chance to show off even partially what t...

Heh I was the same, I had ideas but I never had the smarts to use the tools and inventory in-game to do what some other people seem to do so easily. It's amazing looking at some of the levels made and how much effort and time that must have been put into them.
