and don't the slim models lack some things too (I know about backwards compatibility but isn't there less usb inputs, etc.)
I still have the 80gb Motorstorm model...
alright, I must speak up for my avatar- the Intellivision to the Intellivision 2 was a great redesign. It ushered us out of the " all electronics must have wood-grain, shiny metal, and be HUGE" era into the iconic color schemes we still see in use for consoles today.
Ah, heck, let's throw the Ngage redesign in there, too. It is a a shame that side talkin' never really took off.
@ Dovahkiin,
Yup, could we at least wait until Walmart no longer sells games for a console before we deem it "retro."
I just notice that sometimes the player's names come up before the snap and sometimes only the QB (or player I select on defense) is displayed..... what up with that?
did you seriously find Snatcher for under 8 bucks or are you just messing with us? I did get a pristine original Gameboy for $1.25 a few years ago.
reads article... looks to the right and sees Pong console and shelf full of intellivision, 2600, snes, and nes carts in room... wonders why anyone would call PS2 retro... agrees with above comment and bubbles it
Madden celebrated 15 years with Madden 2005 and 20 years with Madden 2009... welcome to video game math!
I would have put NBA Jam with Mortal Kombat characters instead of Mario BBall...
dude, how can you have a TJ & E avatar and not put that on your list?
List without Chrono Trigger = no list at all...
Ordered this off Amazon yesterday (first time buyer of an NCAA football game, I buy Madden yearly) because I heard about Herschel Walker being in the Heisman mode...
any for the USA???
I can't wait to see what Retro does with the Wii U
For a long time Super Metroid was my favorite game of all time. I played Prime on the Gamecube (what a great day it was when it was released alongside Metroid Fusion) but it was when I replayed Prime on Metroid Trilogy on the Wii that its brilliance really sunk in for me. Simply put Prime is Super Metroid in 3D and perfectly executed as well. It has tied (if not exceeded) Super Metroid on my list.
Yeah, but the one we have all done is play a game with sub-par motion controls!
I love video Pinball but this bad boy is tough as nails on the PS3, how is the difficulty on 3DS?
Hey, I am the biggest Mario fan around and All-Stars has its place but what they did with the music on some of the levels has always bothered me.
Interesting points. However, to be fair, Chrono Trigger on the DS was a port not a remake (like FFIV). I actually had a disc for the PS2 that would "upscale" any game to 720p or 1080p. I think Action Replay made it and I sold it on Ebay when I git a backwards compatible PS3 (somebody out there has to remember this thing, too). Anyhow, somehow this disc managed to squeeze some extra resolution out of a standard ol' PS2 so what you say certainly seems feasible.
Bore...
Kick! Punch! its all in the mind...
