I can't believe this is even being debated. Sony has slimmed every console that they have made including the original Playstation which they renamed PSOne. This has been part of their business strategy since they entered the video game market and it appears that Microsoft decided to pull a me too.
I hope I can play it with a dualshock controller.
Sony also filed a patent for a dual screen device that was similar in function to a tablet. This cold pertain to that and maybe the device will communicate with Sony's future gaming machines, home and portable alike.
It is definitely going to be a tap tap revenge style music game where you control naked women in a strip club. You have to tap the arrows in rhythm so the dancer will perform special "tricks" and lap dance combos. Increase you score with continuous combos and increase your cash that will allow you to buy flashier costume in career mode. HA HA HA.

Is this the same company that complains about production cost being the reason why they didn't have towns in the new Final Fantasy game? Yet they keep creating these new IPs that no one really cares about. How many wasted R&D dollars is that now Square Enix?

I never said the world ended with me. I simply said if the game is not up to par I won't partake in the foolery and buy it.
Just because someone is a good developer or producer doesn't mean that they can't lose their creative edge. Star Wars Prequels are a fine example, Soul Caliber went to $#it as well. So far this generation all the developers are so worried about dollars and DLC that they actually forgot about making good games.

I agree with some of this statement. It is true that time was an issue because they decided to develope for every single system on the market. If they stop making all these sub par game experiences on the DS, PSP, Phones, 360 and concentrate on their core audience they would have the time.

I think Steve Jobs made the mistake of trying to compare it to the netbook. It's not. What it is is a large iPod Touch with 3G and a microphone and nothing is wrong with that. I love my iPod Touch, but have wished it had a standard mic and a larger screen. Wish granted.
With the announcement of VOIP over 3G today I have one more reason to upgrade.

Not really. Most laptops lack the touchscreen interface. iPhone and iPod Touch screens are too small. This does have it uses it just is not apparent right now. Some will use it for games. Some will use it for movies and music on planes. Some will use it as a research device in school. With all the apps they have out now this is really cool. I have so many music making apps on my iPod Touch and I have been wishing that the screen was bigger so I could have more landscape to move my fin...

This is just what I needed. I was about to get a iPhone and a laptop for school, but this fits my needs. I can still sync all my apps from my iPod touch to this device too. Wow. It seems to be a pretty cool device. No need to lug a laptop around and research books when I can get it all on this device. All my human anatomy apps will be crystal clear!! Worth every penny to me even if it is a big iPod Touch.
